Alternate Quick reply Waiting display!

vBulletins default display of "Posting message- Please Wait" is rather boaring so i thought i'd spice this up a bit using a simple phrase change, i'm aware that the user Allen has already release a similar hack, this hack is based from it and can be found here: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=110758

what this does is replace the "Posting Message - Please Wait" with an image i made, this image looks professional on any skin and the colors where selected to reflect this. the image itself was roughly based from the loading bar fire fox has.

Credit goes to Allen for coming up with the idea so kudos to him and me for the alternate image.

Installation

In your ACP go into your phrases Manager "Languages & Phrases" => "Search in Phrases" and search for "posting_quick_reply_please_wait"

Replace the text inside with:
Code:

<center><img src="http://www.your-site.com/forum/images/misc/loading.gif" /></center>

Replace "you-site.com" with your sites address

Hope you enjoy this.

if you like it please click "INSTALL" thanks ^_^

NOTE: i've included Two versions of this image, one fills up fast and the other fill up more slowly. Rename the Loading1.gif to Loading.gif if you decide to use that one.

EDIT: make sure you select Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name in the Search in ... options.

I also have this problem. I'm on 3.6.4 and I get the same message.

EDIT: I found the answer, make sure you select Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name in the Search in ... options.

Warlord 01-14-2007 01:04 PM

Just realized I have no transitional page, lol.

Neo_Angelo 01-18-2007 12:59 PM

if you go into you ACP then Phrase manger (using 3.6.x) change the show phrases bit to 1500 and it'll show all the phrases you have.

look down and on the 3-4th page (since its in alphabetical order theres should be a phrase title called: posting_quick_reply_please_wait click on edit and replace the text in the box with the code i gave you for this to work.

Same Problem here...

Hmmmm, my guess would be that your templete Postbit(_Legacy) still has remains of the code used to call up the circular coding bit.

also it looks like your code has some bits missing or is incomplete. i cannot offer much support since this isn't My mod but i would check in the thread i put in the mod to the original source for a more direct supporter, i'll try to help as best i can but my knowledge is limited.
