Nice site :)

Thank you sir! :D

I don't see a Logo, nor a site banner - I think those would make the site look a lot better.

Plus I think the fluid skin is a little thin to my liking.

The site just looks kinda weird - I scrolled down and the banner was beneath the last forum...

Perhaps you're still working on it?

Jacquii.

Are you sure about that, I have looked at it on two different machines, and it looks okay to me.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks.

I agree.

Could someone please take a screen shot, so I can see the problem, because it looks fine on my machine.

Thanks

looking at the above screenshot - site looks really good.
I'm using Opera 9 and usually don't have a prob at all with viewing different websites and such.

I just looked at your site again - The width of the main table layout seems widened a bit since I first viewed it... But the logo and site banner are still viewed odd - And the adsense stretches beyond the boarder, stretches outside of the forum layout...

I've taken a screenshot of my view - via Opera 9

Jacquii.

If Opera 9 is screwing up with your layout, your code isn't valid. I took a look and it seems you have "<head> </head>" and "<meta>" tags inside the body of your HTML.

I recommend going through and making the site at least xhtml 1.0 transitional.

I will cordially suggest that OPERA is the best browser on the entire net....

But yeah - with my sites anyway - I like to make sure that they're at least viewed AWESOMELY in IE (though I hate it with a passion), FF & Opera --- The main browsers ;)

I would use it for more than just "testing" if Firefox didn't have all the useful plugins.

Opera 9 passes the Acid2 test, which pretty much means that it supports web standards properly. I guess "perfectly" would fit better there?

But see - Out of the box - Opera has many things that FF needs plugins for - I was a FF user... Loved it and never thought that'd I'd be using any other browser - But I had so many plugins that FF became slugish for my system!

I tried the Opera browser and haven't looked back since - It is PERFECT and is much more customizable than FF, though like you say = FF does have an abundance of extra plugins....

Anyway - yeah - back on topic - I test with FF & IE to make sure my sites look A-OK! And if it looks good in Opera - it's pretty much guaranteed to look great on all the other major browsers ;)

Jacquii.

Thanks for all your replies!
I see the problem now with the forum not loading properly on some web browsers.
I'll go back to the drawing board, and get it sorted. It will be in a few days time now, as I'm back to work
Thanks for the screen shots, and thanks for the advice.
I'll post back here when it's fixed :)

I have made a few template changes, but the site is still loading up wrong in Opera (though not as bad)

Thanks you all for your comments and advice so far....:D
