Choose a color for the new vb.org design.

Merry Christmas.

With the new year around the corner ... you will see some changes around here.

One notable change is the vb.org design.
FYI: We will no longer support having multiple "Styles".
:knockedout: :hurt:

Choose your design color?

BLUE
GREEN
PURPLE
RED

Adrian Schneider 12-15-2006 08:39 PM

Out of those, blue!

peterska2 12-15-2006 08:41 PM

Shazz 12-15-2006 08:43 PM

Blue hands down

Princeton 12-15-2006 08:44 PM

SirAdrian ... I figured you might go for the blue.

KA ... you looooove purple

peterska2 12-15-2006 08:46 PM

I know, and it's traditional vB.org colors so it has to be purple.

Of course, there is the added fact that I don't like any other of the others :p

Paul M 12-15-2006 08:57 PM

Agreed, why change a good thing? :D

Blue is going to win just because it's on the list though. Everyone loves blue for some reason.

Talisman 12-15-2006 10:51 PM

Blue.. meaning the custom dark blue style designed for this site.

hotwheels 12-16-2006 12:05 AM

blue........

Roms 12-16-2006 03:06 AM

In my experience, not everyone can view a darker style.... I generally try to keep my default light because I have a few color blind members and also member that are older Veterans. you will be doing yourself a dis-service by eliminating the choice of members. VB was created to use different styles, to give people no options will be showing them to the door. If it hurts their eyes to view it they wont spend any time here.

I love dark styles but I have used a white and grey style for years because one of my main staff members is color blind and 65 years old.... he needs a larger print and easy to read pages....

Do what you want but you will be turning people away.

At the least give people a few options... light, dark...

Do you realize that most people are still using older computers and 800x600 res? What about them? They are a BIG part of your market.....

Guest190829 12-16-2006 03:08 AM

Blue, of course. :D

Umm.. So does that mean that the other styles will no longer be selectable, or just that the vb.org staff won't be making any changes to them from their current state (and will eventually be uncompatible with later vB versions)?

We are very aware of color blind members, and color combinations which hurt peoples eyes. Dark styles, very light styles, some combinations of colors, these are all things which are considered.

/exit

You do know that it's impossible to please everyone with a single style, right?

Ziki 12-20-2006 04:44 PM

Please don't delete the Dark Blue!I love it!If you want to delete it,sell it to me :D

Shelley_c 12-20-2006 06:57 PM

well don't have great expectations in this style if the quality of styles by the master designers have anything to go by.

I suspect it will be a bad one.

I pick green, I hate that colour.

Paul M 12-21-2006 02:20 AM

I really hope it's green.

simsimt 12-21-2006 03:01 AM

Green. Very comfortable color.

PoetJA-1975 12-21-2006 03:46 AM

I love the DarkBlue style of vB.org ---> would love to see similar... If we must change :P

Jacquii.

d8tabyte 12-21-2006 05:59 AM

You know what's sad? I never knew there were multiple styles on the board - I was always keen to the smooth blue style.

That being said, I voted purple before I saw what it actually looked like.

Dark blue is nice on the eyes.

Not green Paul, I told you it's gotta be purple!

Criticize 12-21-2006 07:50 PM

Who will be designing this skin for vB.org?

Ziki 12-22-2006 01:24 PM

black :D

Australian Gate 12-22-2006 02:26 PM

Blue - white :)

JamieLee2k 12-22-2006 06:32 PM

It's already blue, choose another colour, Red all the way baby

Kirk Y 12-23-2006 02:39 AM

I think it's safe to say we've seen enough blue, it's time for a change -- go Red!

Logikos 12-24-2006 06:34 AM

Green!

Dismounted 12-25-2006 05:01 AM

Blue FTW!!! :D

PennylessZ28 12-26-2006 03:31 AM

I've been impressed with the guys at http://www.vbhackers.com/

I think this site would benefit from a similar design flare.

Check out their image database. You can see when new posts been made but I agree, vb.org could certainly learn alot but they won't.
