Could you stay off the internet for 24 Hours?

I don't think I'd make it

*Poll

KTBleeding 12-11-2006 03:04 AM

When you work with the internet / computer ALL day as your full time job, it's quite easy to stay away from both of them on the weekends..

So yes, yes I could. :)

Adrian Schneider 12-11-2006 03:13 AM

I was off for about 6 weeks straight this summer (vacation). It was nice. :)

Shazz 12-11-2006 03:16 AM

I blame vB for it

Brandon Sheley 12-11-2006 03:21 AM

Paul M 12-11-2006 01:42 PM

Yes, when I'm on Holiday I have no access for a week (or however long it is).

Crow 12-11-2006 02:00 PM

Just did it this past 24 hours..
I don't think I could do it for 48 tho..

GTAce 12-11-2006 02:02 PM

I would be surprised if anybody here truly ever went without the internet for just 24 hours. Don't you go out of town? Visit family? Go on vacation?

I realize that even when you go out of town, you can still take your laptop and get wireless, or go to an internet cafe, or the hotel has a computer with the internet...or something along those lines...but there are many times I go places and don't have internet access for 24 hours and I end up fine the next morning :nervous:

GTAce 12-11-2006 03:15 PM

Then you can do it ;)

Coldhands 12-11-2006 05:25 PM

The answer is always no. Next poll please.

Ziki 12-11-2006 06:10 PM

Guess :D

Guest190829 12-11-2006 06:51 PM

Yes, I could.

Actually, sometimes I need to stay off the PC for a day or so. That way the sun isn't foreign to me.

peterska2 12-11-2006 06:53 PM

If I can't get to an online computer for whatever reason, I still be online but on my cellphone. It's slow, and a tiny screen, and a bit of a pain to use, but I still do it.

I've actually been without internet for the last 3 months, but it hasn't stopped me from being online.

akanevsky 12-12-2006 08:50 PM

Even more than 24 hours...

Oblivion Knight 12-13-2006 07:13 AM

Easily.. :)

I spend just a fraction of the time that I used to on the internet.

PoetJA-1975 12-14-2006 01:27 AM

Nope

Same here.

I might spend 3 hours a day online now.

filburt1 12-16-2006 06:11 PM

I'd love to, but given both my job and freelance occupation are both directly web related, that wouldn't be good from a I-don't-want-to-get-fired standpoint. Done it before, though, and it was relative paradise.

Caiman 12-17-2006 04:30 AM

I can and do, though I have withdrawel and always think I'm missing something.

WhaLberg 01-24-2007 04:49 PM

I do.

I did.

I could. :)

Andrew 01-25-2007 02:00 PM

I can and usually do - Spending all day either working or taking classes to fulfill my CS major tends to burn me out pretty quickly. I usually spend the weekends as far from my computer as possible (Unless I'm doing some studio recording, then I don't have much of a choice.)
