Update: A verry experienced and devoted programmer has joined the development team, he will work fulltime on the mod from now on (9 January 2007).

vBulletin Media Player for vBulletin 3.6.x

This mod is in Beta stage

Instalation instructions:

• Upload all files from the /upload/ directory to the root of your forum, e.g. /forum/
• Import the plugin from /import/

Upgrade instructions:

• Upgrading from 1.0/1.1 to 1.2+
  1. Uninstall the existing product
  2. Import the new product from /import/
  3. Upload all files within /upload/ to your forum root

I will complete this mod with all your wishes when they serve a big audience. Prefereably 100.000+ users.

Please let me know of features you want, video hosts wich should be supported and bugs you find!

Suggestions so far:

• Support for adult video hosts like pornotube.com and several others
  • Not yet implemented, being worked on.
• Forum based media posting permissions suggested by
  • Added in version 1.1.

why the google videos start automaticly. this is not good. for example i am going to add 4 videos to a thread and with automatic open it will be very slow to play the movie for each.

What about Quicktime, Real, *.pdf etc. like in the old Version ?

And will it be only one BB Code like before ? ([anymedia]) ?

Very important is to enable Autoplay on or off at the AdminCP.

instructions are not enough to install this module. where is the readme file? this only contains the earlier version of anymedia's install guides.

It's the first (google) and the Third that auto play.

I installed this but when i click on update in user group after giving permission then this is what i get.

MyVideo.de is already supported! (Mercedes CL 600 video on the demo site)

The local file uploading support will be added also.

when i use media tag for youtube or google and click on submit thead then this is what i get...

I get the same issue as hnjco with the usergroup update, just to chime in. Looking forward to the fix. :)

can you play swf games with this?

I uploaded it jan, found a few error's for ya to look into:

1st) usergroup permission. It didn't write to the table usergroup. I went in and manually set it, to

After adding this field to my usergroups in phpmyadmin, i was able to set permission's perfectly.....

I can't get any player to work at this point, google and youtube are the one's i have tried, and have messed with the setting in my admincp, anymedia......

I noticed to on your test site that the video play box has the windows film icon in the bar.......when i upload a video to my site, i am not getting that.....

On the editor on my site i have the "M" from the original and that film icon. The "M" is clickable and the film icon isn't......does that make any difference?

Let me know if i can help in any way...........this was a great mod at one time.

I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem: in the post box, there's a bit of text saying "wrap [MEDIA] tags around selected". I see that's mentioned in some of the template edits.

Did I paste the code in incorrectly, or is there an error in the provided code?

When you go to upload a video, you will see the M or the Film icon as shown in my above photo's, those will place your tag's in the thread, but it doesn't seem to be working at this point........

Feature Request :

It was nice if it was choosable in the AdminCP which BB Code has to be used for which Media Type.

Example :

1. anymedia for everything

2. yt for youtube or gv for googlevideo or anything else.

Hi!

Please try to uninstall Any Media 3.5.x as it might be that the manual template edit of the old Any Media conflicts with the dynamicly added icon from the new Any Media.

nope, i just deleted everything from my server's file area and then reuploaded all the new files and i still can't use the little film icon and my "M" is now gone but the call for function of the "m" is still there.....
