Hi,

there are allready some Hacks like this and this one is including YouTube and Google : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=130868

And here is the developing of AnyMedia 3.6 including every Mediaformat :

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...light=anymedia

wii 12-04-2006 06:06 AM

Correct, but none of the others removes the annoying "click to activate" of IE.

redlabour 12-04-2006 07:13 AM

Who the Hell is using IE ?

And i think this "click to activate" is less important then the other Features of "Embed XHTML valid YouTube and Google Video into your posts".

I think you better have contacted the other Coders to integrate your Handling to their Hacks. ;)

wii 12-04-2006 09:40 AM

Take it easy, I just released this because I use it and it works well.

Many (like myself) only use YouTube and the BB Code makes it very easy to install for newbies.

Most people still use IE, believe it or not. I myself use Firefox, but that´s a personal choice.

Barakat 12-04-2006 03:34 PM

Try to change the tag name to [yt1] for example and use this code with the other yt code at the same movie and u will see the difference.

Muellmann 12-04-2006 06:07 PM

great bbcode! thanks for this, you rock! :)

wii 12-07-2006 07:08 AM

iran.gs 12-07-2006 12:17 PM

AzH 12-10-2006 06:24 PM

Installed. Excellent product. Move than 50% of my users still use IE. Ignore the naysayers.

wii 12-14-2006 08:17 PM

Yes, my board has 80% using IE . I don't think FF is a popular use at this time.

wii 01-19-2007 06:04 AM

My board has 90% IE users at this time.

thincom2000 01-19-2007 06:20 AM

I created two versions of this BB Code on my site:

[ytv] and [ytp] - YouTube Video and YouTube Playlist (for those of us with stuff over 10 mins or larger than 100MB :D )

Just requires changing the /v/ to a /p/ in the BB definition.

Almost 80% to 90% of my users!!!
Although I have a ‘FF recommended’ note at the footer and some features in my integrated CMS which don’t work (smoothly) with IE…!

Do not underestimate the usage of IE by your visitors!

ki adi mundi 01-31-2007 06:44 AM

Ok -I followed the intructions- it's not working. When the code is inputed, everything within the brackets disappears. Any thoughts on this issue?

EDIT: Nevermind. I see the error. You need to change the code in the replacement variable to match your particular url path.

BBH 02-01-2007 05:27 PM

That code works GREAT! Thanks.

wii 02-14-2007 10:10 AM

Please click Installed, if you use this code.

Thanks

M-Tuning 02-14-2007 06:58 PM

Thanks, Installed :P

Works great.

Also 60% of my users use IE

sandrodz 03-04-2007 10:16 PM

is it possible to remove link on the video around play button that leads to youtube? I have my visitors leaking to yt

mp34play 03-10-2007 03:38 AM

Great mod, installed.

One question. Is there anyway to restrict regular forum members from using this bbcode without disabling bbcode for everyone?
Thanks in advance.

CMGU 06-14-2007 07:41 PM

thank u...

tycity 06-23-2007 06:24 AM

Your download isn't working, but I had another copy of it from a template I have. Anyways, this is the easiest and most fun mod! Thanks so much!

timja 10-23-2007 06:49 PM

I am looking for an easy way to show embedded movies (from various sources, including some somewhat adult ones) on my forum.

I only really want admin (me) to be able to do this. I wondered if someone knows a code would allow me to do this?

wii 10-24-2007 06:39 AM

What you could do is setup each forum with it´s own permissions, so that a forum where you need my code enable Allow BB Code.

timja 10-24-2007 02:01 PM

That is a good idea that might work for me.

The only reservation is that I need a way for quite a few different embedded vid sources to all work in that BB code. Many codes I see only allow a few (eg Youtube and Google).

wii 10-24-2007 02:32 PM

There´s another code that allows for others as well, try a search...

Thanks

wickedstangs 05-10-2008 08:38 PM

Installed on VB 3.7.0 and works great Added this image and looks good.

AzH 05-11-2008 07:14 AM

Search for passiveVid. That allows (at last count) 29 different videos without a need for bb codes.

wii 05-13-2008 08:10 AM

Yes, it does work on 3.7 without any problems.
