Hmmm lets see...While President Bush has been in office we have had an unprecedented terrorist attack on our homeland and a devastating hurricane meanwhile the NASDAQ has still managed to achieve an all time high and unemployment just crept up to 4.5% up from 4.4% which was a 5 year low.
|
terrorist attack and the katrina hurricane wasen't his fault
He couldn't have done anything different to prevent it |

Do you really expect to accomplish anything by this? I'll quote from a history paper I just finished writing:
Quote:
Although if you vote for the last option, you're an idiot. |

There are also other ways to measure the presidents sucess or failure, and i beleive foreign policy is one of them. He's not completely at fault to blame, the president any more is just one big fall guy for a countrys democracy. |

I'm not his biggest fan, but until they;
1) Take away my guns. 2) Take away my 'free speech'. I'll just have to deal with it by remembering that he's only in there for a few more years. ;) Besides he takes a lot of blame for stuff that isn't directly his fault. I think it's funny how people ignore EVERY OTHER PERSON in the government that has a hand in passing/doing things you don't agree with and instead go right for the monkey faced 'master mind'. Bush is an idiot, but he ain't alone in that respect. Hell I'm willing to bet there are bigger idiots than him in our government (Clinton anyone? and no I'm not talking about Bill :p). Point is; You can talk about hating Bush all day, but it does nothing to solve the problem. Give is four more years and we'll probably be wishing he was back in the Oval Office ;). |

He definitely made some bad calls during his presidency, but what's in the past is in the past. I don't think he's done enough that would have changed my vote had I known it was going to happen.

UH OH!! I see this thread bringing major controversy. =)
I voted "He's good". I actually do like Bush as a man and as a president. He not a polished politician like some others with his stammering in speakings, that is one reason why I like him. He cannot tell a lie at all. He's a true person. I can give credit to Bill Clinton to being one of the best speakers we have ever had as a president, the man is/was polished and well liked! I can understand sometimes why people don't like Bush with a media SO SLANTED to the left. Weak people watch the left slanted media and believe everything they hear and see. They cannot summons an opinion on their own...only by watching the Clinton News Network. People that believed Mike Moore's idiotic satire are also weak minded. I do agree that the Iraq war is a bit botched in some manners, but I do think we are better off with Saddam out of power. Our leaders saw the same intelligence as Bush did and mostly agreed on the war. We do need an exit plan though. One thing I do disagree with Bush on is the US borders and Iran/N. Korea. He hit the nail on the head with the "axis of evil" speech, but he's really not doing anything about those other two. I'm sure I'll get some interesting responses here, so flame on! ;) |

The President does not have direct control of the cost of crude since it is publically traded and priced on speculation but it is on a downward trend....if you look back historically gas was actually more expensive in the 80s then it is now and the cost has risen much slower then other commodities. With the NASDAQ and the DOW at an all time high I would say over all the economy isn't slowing....maybe some sectors have but overall we are doing pretty well...and again that is after some major devastation to our country... |

"Whose bush?" (j/k).

Economy slowdown? GDP is way up along with consumer spending.

Well I live in the UK and I see him on the news more than ever over here and personally I don't think he deserves to be president, he's not in it to help the country he's in it to destroy it, same with Prime Minister Tony Blair over in the UK, he's in it for the same reason.
|
Bush in my opinion is an ASS and all he cares about is winning a war his father could not accomplish. Ever since he enter presidency the US has went downhill and continues to fall , not counting all the people that have and are still dying over a war that makes no sense. Bush as of today still cant explain or justify why he really attacked, Hum let's tell the world that Iraq had bombs of mass distruction so that I have the world backing up my ignorance :surprised:
