For example, to make some announcements.

Ziki 01-18-2007 06:44 PM

What are you talking about?Did you read what this hack does?

Hornstar 01-26-2007 02:02 AM

In the screenshot the bold tags don't work for the title.

Ziki 01-26-2007 02:22 AM

Well yes the title isn't parsed even in the forums is it?

marcsmith73 01-26-2007 02:25 AM

Great Hack!!! Love it!! installed...

periphrastic 11-03-2007 11:47 PM

thanks for this,

perhaps an awful issue, but there is no text displaying in my box. each of the fields are completed: the announcement id, read more redirect, etc. there is no text displaying in the actual box (as i see in your screenshot). i'm just not sure what the issue is, as i've followed all instructions and completed all fields. ?

I had the same problem. Please give an exact description of what an announcement id is.

SuperTaz 11-04-2007 08:59 PM

Go to your adminCP > Scroll down to Announcements > Click "EDIT" on any global announcement that you have created and view the ID of it at the top of the announcement. Put that ID in the ID area of this hack in vboptions and refresh and go to forumhome and scroll down to the bottom and under currently active users, you will see the "Announcements" area.

What do I put in s the url. I tried putting the url for the announcement and I also left it balnk and it just goes back to the forums index.

If it is a global announcement, go to your forums and click on any forum and at the top you will see announcement. Click on the announcement link and when you are on that thread, copy the URL from your browser window and put that URL in the URL spot on the hack in vboptions.

I did that. No matter what I put in the url box it doesn't re-direct it. I cant' seem to make it change the url. The read me more link is directing to my fourm home page.

Hmmm...Mine worked. What version are you using? 3.6.8?

SuperTaz 11-05-2007 04:40 AM

If all else fails, try to re-install it and see what happens.
