This is the nomination thread for Board of the Month January.

Nominations will be accepted until the 31st of December. Also, please note, that the current voting thread for BOTM December will remain open as well until the 31st of December.



When nominating please post the site name, URL to the forum, a short description what makes your board stand out from default vBulletin, and a reason for nomination that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too promotional it will be edited accordingly.

Any sites without a name, URL, description and reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in the format:

When seconding sites, please ensure that you use the same post for the maximim of 3 allowed seconds. Any seconds not located in your first seconding post will not be counted. Please also ensure that you include the site name or URL for the site you are seconding in your post. If there is no name or URL provided then the post will be ignored when the nominations are counted.

Reason for Nomination: TalkSecondLife.com is the only forum of its kind in our niche. We focus on only the business and income generation aspects of Second Life while our competition all serve the broader aspects of general Second Life.
We are still small but growing strong everyday with a high percentage of active members and frequent posters. Many of our users are highly enthusiastic about us and gladly give us links on their sites without asking for them. We selected a template that appealed to us as being more professional than any other Second Life forum around. Additionally, we want our members to feel like they are a large part of our community so we frequently solicit and implement their feedback.

Reason for Nomination: We can honestly say that there isn't a board out there that is fairer than us. At most forums, people are always worried about getting warned. We want it to be as comfortable as possible, so we don't do warns, nor do we do bans. Its been over 5 months and we still haven't banned anyone.

Reason for Nomination: Well, winning an award like this is something that says something. To be honest, I don't even think we are there yet. But it is worth seeing if we are worthy. The forum is by the people for the people. Meaning we know what it is like to have faulty staff running the place. We are like a very tight family over there.
