PhotoPlogPro vs PhotoPostPro

I couldn't find a similar thread through search so i thought i'd create one.
I am pretty disappointed with my purchase of photopost pro for reasons I've outlines in this thread.

Im pretty much trying to figure out Why photoplog pro costs less than photopost pro.

Photoplog just seems so much better to me.

[edit]
I have been contacted DIRECTLY by the President/CEO of Photopost himself and all my issues have been cleared up.
Unfortunately - I did not do enough research before going ahead and making these claims.
I think Photopost is a great script (which is why i purchased it in the first place) and im sorry if this or any other thread I have posted with slander about the product has had any negative affects on the company itself.

PhotoPost Pro has been out for over 5 years and has a very large installed base; not only was PhotoPost the first gallery to integrate with vBulletin, but we continue to support all versions of vB going back to V2.

Your thread about not being happy with support because you were looking for help in modifying your code falls outside the scope of support for most scripts; including vBulletin. We provide the Mod Corner as a courtesy to our customers, but we make it clear that we aren't there to support modifications or write them for you. However, we do offer custom programming services in the event you are looking to hire someone to do the modifications for you.

PhotoPlog also doesn't support ImageMagick which came to be a real shock upon installing it.

What is the impact of that? Lesser quality images?

Thanks.

Add a poll to the thread! :)

I havent tried any of the above, I'm going to not sure which one to, I like photoplogPro templates, saw it in their demo site. I'll will look around photopost demo and post more. and decide which to get myself.

You should add vBgallery to the poll.

I didn't think it was appropriate since VBaGallery is no longer in development.

PhotoPost vBGallery has had updates posted for the 3.5 and 3.6 series in the past year. The latest update was just a couple weeks ago.

Maybe you should look a little closer at what's going on at PhotoPost.Com.

Why does your company have two competing products (vBGallery and Photopost Pro PHP)?

They really aren't competiting with each other if you compare the two products. PP PHP Pro offers many more features than vBGallery while vBGallery offers a nice package that integrates with vBulletin (and only vBulletin) and is, at least IMHO, an easier to manage solution for vBulletin admins.

Two products from the same company but targeted at two different types of customer.

I couldn't have asked for a better nor more diplomatic response.

Thank you very much.

Most important factor is that Photopost Pro can be used as a stand alone product or can integrate with like 16 different forum packages. vBGallery can not. It must be used with vBulletin and vBulletin only or it will not work.

Can you tell me two advantages of vBImage Host has over PhotoPlogPro and PhotoPostPro, besides that it is free?
