200+ Member Mark = YAY!
 

I just want to do a bit of bragging... My forum JPiC Forum For Writers has just accomplished a HUGE Milestone: it's 200th Member! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent out an email circular/promotional and overnight had over 30 new Members! It makes the work soooooo much worth it!

So that's my brag for the day LOL

Shazz: It greatly depends on your category... vBulletin forums tend to be extremely active because it's so easy to find members (advertising here for ex.)

Jacquii: Congrats! Remember it will only get easier, because the rate of growth will also rise.

Yea, like a warez site is normal to have a 1000+ Members just for it to go up lol

Who did you send those e-mails/circulars and promos too. How old is your forum? I am run a humble politics forum and I'm just trying to grow. :p

I actually got email address from Webring-affiliated websites. Other avenues as well - but usually from like-minded sites ----> So the emails are targeted!

The forum is just a little over 3 months old - But I'm sure if the next email promotional is such a success that I will continue along the lines of that route :)
