Top NavBar With Drop Down Menus
 
This mod is a top nav bar mod with drop down menus; it is the same as the standard vb one, the new navbar is in its own template.

This mod is easy to install there are to things you need to do to install this mod:

1) Upload product file
2) Edit navbar template

The mod comes with:

1 xml file
1 read me text file
1 html help file to show how to add links and drop down menus

The Extras menu on your demo aint right, i take it this is not how the install will look?

The demo on our site is still having links added, when you upload this mod it has exsamples placed within the template so you can get an idea.

When you add the links you want all should be nice :)

sorry mate I see what you meen, I didnt check in all browsers and FF looks bad, I will sort this out right away and update the files tomoz when its all sorted.

Nice looking navbar, I think this is the one ive been waiting for :)

offtopic: btw nothing major but on your vip page it says this "so get in why its at a low cost " should be "so get in while its at a low cost " nothing big, but I was browing your site, and noticed it, always good to have correct spelling when your trying to sell something.

At the very top of the navbar it is missing some color. you will see it is missing the line that runs around the navbar. How do we fix that. (to see what i mean visit my site http://www.gamerzneeds.net/forums/ as your site blends the color in more.)

Glad you like it, and thanks for spotting that I am no good with spelling and grammer :)

As for that style problem, this one my big mistake and I am sorry, I have updated the file but for them that have installed it all ready its this

Open template: top_nav

Find:

On the Startpage i can see the navbar. All right. But in the Subforums the navbar tool is not present ???

At this time I am not using templates, we are making tests for the new forum and this in a provisional address.

hello, no, it is not that. vbadvanced has independent files.

The menu bar this in the style vbadvanced "adv_portal", the variable $nav2 doesn't work alone in this place.

Are I see, because its a mod you need to be able to pull the verible from your vb scripts, I have this problem with my vbdrupal mod, you need to ask vbadvanced where or is there any ware you can add these veribles, sorry :(

Yes there are 20 different styles in my forum. I have open there Styles and I have installed these script in the nav_top of there 20 styles.

great idea but your hack does not work right out of the box like you have in your documention.

I installed 3 times and I am not getting any drop down...

Could you please update the hack or just post clearer directions?

If this mod is installed on all styles then it should be working ok with no problems, I only use one style my self so I am not to up on this :cry: sorry

thats it there should be one Drop down menu called Drop down containing 4 links in it, to edit it you edit your template top_nav to add more menus etc etc.

This mod is fully set up for you all is needed is for you to add one code to one template and edit your links. If you are still having problems please say and maybe I could look at your website.

yer just add the http:// in the url of the link

ie.

Installed ...worked on 3.5.4 and 3.6.2 .

It's tooked me about half hour ...figure out ...because you may have difference skin ...and you have to add new button to the either Header or Nav templates .

This is my simple way "Music" drop down menu I added this function to my header : After you import this product .

1.Add new button name to : Nav or header template

- for 3.5.4 version :

Do not edit the Top Nav ....just leave it alone . the only thing you need to add or edit is your Nav template or Header template .

OK but as I mentioned before, <!-- / NAVBAR POPUP MENUS --> does not appear in header nor navbar. The actual nav menu is inside header anyway.

That screwed up the forumhome. It basically removed everything in between header/footer somehow.
