vBi-Gallery for vB 3.6.X
 
This is the 3.6.X-Version of my vBi-Gallery for vBulletin.

It's an update to this hack:

This gallery-system integrates completly into vB, because it's a modification of the forum itself and uses the attachment-system of vb.

Therefore, it's neccessary to be sure, that the attachment-system is working and it's possible to create thumbs. Otherwise, the gallery won't work.

Btw, I want to thank all the people here, which are using this gallery.

Q: I almost upload smaller image into the gallery. They are all blown up. How can i avoid this?
A: Edit the template "gallery-attachment". Replace the code with this:

Also, I wanted to know if there was anyway to show the gallery on forumhome but not make a forum a gallery? Instead I want it to take all attachments from a certain forum and display the gallery on the forumhome.

Hello,

Basically I like the display of the gallery on the forumhome (although I may need to do some template fixes as the attachements come all out of shape).

However, I dont want a forum to turn into a gallery. I just want the gallery to list attachments from a certain forum on the forumhome.

So lets say I have a forum called XYZ. Any pictures attached in XYZ would simply be displayed as a gallery in forumhome without making the entire forum into a gallery style.

I hope I made it clearer. Thanks

You have to upload the "upload.gif"-file to your /images/buttons-folder on your server.

To change the width of the box, simply edit the template gallery_postbit. Search for:

And replace 350 with 99%. That's all.

The postion of the reply-button is as it is supposed. It's the normal reply-button under the thread. Just insert a test-answer, and you'll see.

Just a couple of little questions
The header cell on the gallery display in forumhome says
Galerie
Latest Pictures in the gallery:

Great we all know what it is but how do I change the word Galerie to Gallery?

Also when viewing a picture the information box, posted by etc the header on this says Informationen. How do I change that to Information.

I have searched for the words in the templates but I can't find them so assume it needs changing somewhere else.

Many thanks for this mod we have been looking for a gallery for some time and this looks & works great.

logged out users seem to find the gallery link in the nav bar (which leads to a link saying no permissions ) but once logged in the link is gone from the navbar

the picture link (no picture) appears in the forums but only appears when u click on it seems to be a few problems with my cmps

I'm using firefox, and it's working fine. Can you show an example?

Just looked at your demo site www.sf-galerie.net
and I see that the gallery sub forums have custom graphics instead of the usual icons.
Am I right in thinking that this is done with the Gallery setting at the bottom of the forum settings?
ie> use gallery thumbnails yes/no
which graphic to use? ............

Is there anything else that needs to be done to do this?
I can not get it to work.

You're right, it works with this technique. It isn't implemented complety yet, there are some routines missing (my sf-galerie.net is my testing place...).

This will come in the next version (release on sunday i think).

I've unintalled version 1.23 and reinstalled version 1.30 but the admincp still shows the version as 1.23.

Also, I'm running vBulletin 3.6.2 and before I upgraded to 1.30, I was able to see the pictures in the forumhome but not in the Gallery. Now, it's opposite. I can't see the pictures in the forumhome but the pictures show up in the Gallery.

Any idea?

Did you make the changes on the templates for forumhome? Without them, no pictures can be displayed on forumhome.

Yes, I did make the changes to the forum home. The title shows up (Latest or Random, depending on the option from vBulletin option -> Gallery) just not the pictures.

First off this is AWESOME, i been looking for something just like it.

anyway i did the install right, TRUST ME, then i did it again because it just doesn't look right.

It works perfectly but whats wrong with the template? its breaking out of my site it looks horrible.

Also, why does it say upload at the top, and new thread at the bottom? it should be upload for both.

and 1 last thing LOL sorry, but why does it display my image 3x the size it really is? its showing that image with the link above at 680 width when the largest i allow is 500 width?

and the original size of the image is far under that!
