Zoints forumban - Ban members from a single forum

This modification allows staff to ban users from a single forum for a specified time period. Once banned, the user is automatically notified via private message. When the time period is up, the user is automatically unbanned from the forum and sent a PM notifying them of this fact.

A simple "forumban user" link is added to the user options in the admincp.

And there you are presented with the forumban system. From that point, it's all automated

And in vbulletin options > Zoints Forumban options:

Official support for this modification will be at http://network.zoints.com in this specific forum.

Q. I have a ton of moderators I want to allow to use the automated forumban. Is there a query I can run to do this automatically?

A.
Code:

UPDATE tableprefixmoderator set canforumban = 1

Q. How is this different from using access mask permissions?

A. This is an automated system. It automatically messages the person upon banning, automatically releases them at a time you specify, and automatically PM's them when they are released.

You're very welcome. I just updated the first post with a couple admincp screenshots I forgot to add if you want to take a gander.

Wow, been waiting a long time for something like this. Will this work without zoints and if not would you be willing to make a modification that does?

Can moderators only ban users from forums that they are moderators of?

Yes, it works without Zoints Network integration. All of our modifications do.

Yes, only forums they are moderators of.

I installed the product and it shows the Zoints Forumban option, but no forum ban link under Users section in Admin CP.

Oh nevermind, the CP XML file didn't get uploaded.

This mod works on 3.8.4.

I found that it is necessary to go into Forum Manager and set the Forum Ban Option to "On" for each mod on each forum one at a time. I expected the process to automatically set the option to "on" for all mods / forums once it was enabled. That assumption initially led me to believe that the mod wasn't working. Perhaps an automation of some kind could be looked at in a future update.

One small point is that mods can no longer issue sitebans. I got around this by setting up a special "Temp 3 Day Site Ban" infraction with enough points to activate an immediate ban. My mods use this to combat spammers/porn posts. The temp ban can then be reviewed by an SMod or Admin and made permanent if required.

On the whole I am extremely impressed with this mod and would recommend it to anyone.
