VB 3.6.1 Released

Wow lots of new stuff. Gotta upgrade right away! :)

Brandon Sheley 09-13-2006 03:38 PM

Now to wait for my style to be upgraded :p

---MAD--- 09-13-2006 04:18 PM

1 month exactly since 3.6.0 :p, nice work :).

rmxs 09-13-2006 04:32 PM

lol im waiting till 3.6.x comes because i just upgrade to 3.6 :)

Nice work again!

Kirk Y 09-13-2006 06:53 PM

3.6.x refers to any 3.6 version, where x stands for the latest release version.

3.5.x = 3.5.0, 3.5.1, 3.5.2, etc.

In any event, glad to see the improvements and bug fixes - that's a lot of bugs!

Shazz 09-13-2006 09:47 PM

Yeah, it's mainly a bug fix adding a few small functions within it. It's only been a month since the last release, so obviously it's not gonna look or feel a whole lot different, but I think it's good it's being updated often even if it's not huge major updates as it keeps the bugs to the minimum and adds small features along the way. :)

Only a month?
You would be surprise what they can do in a month

are there any alterations made from 3.6.0 to 3.6.1 ?
After checking the code I have not found any but still confirming again.

Rickie3 09-14-2006 06:33 AM

all these bloody updates/upgrades is getting beyond a joke,i know ive had a gut full of it

bashy 09-14-2006 07:02 AM

I m8 tell me about it, what with all the hacks installed its gonna be a pain to upgade!!
Perhaps they should have waited to release the gold version, they might have gotten it right then, Obviously there was not enough beta teting hence this new release......

again, i dont think i will bother, i cant be doing with another broken forum then having to rely on Kerry-Anne to fix it for me :o I will give it a miss this time!

Sorry about the new thread with regards to this, I did check 1st before i posted and did not find 1 :o

da420 09-14-2006 04:34 PM

Yes, it should update it.

I upgraded flawlessly last night. :)

MikeLTAD 09-14-2006 07:24 PM

Works perfect and installed easily. Had alot of hacks and only 4 did not make it over to the new upgrade. Not sure if I had problems with 3.6.0 but the version just didn't work right for my forums. Had to log in 3-4 times. Lots of SQL errors. Just was becoming a pain. This 3.6.1 has been good so far(24hrs). No errors and logging in is a dream. Great Job VB:D

Shazz 09-14-2006 10:51 PM

What kind of SQL Errors? Are they comming from modules?

Phaedrus 09-15-2006 02:53 PM

I'd have to revert too many things to have the time at the moment. I need to be able to revert them then make the necessary changes back so my forum works correctly...

Shazz 09-15-2006 03:18 PM

From 3.6 to 3.6.1? It shouldn't seem like there is a ton of things to revert.

da420 09-15-2006 03:59 PM

I had 32 templates to revert in 5 different styles, but I had them all back to normal within a couple hours after reverting them. Really simple and easy upgrade.
