New users' posts are moderated but visible to them.

I would like to place all new users' posts in a moderated queue, but since a lot of my users are not very internet-savvy they will think they did something wrong at registration when their post does not appear (tried it). I'd like their posts or threads to be only visible to them and me until I approve them. That way they'll only think that nobody responded (sort of like Tachy-lite).

Is there a product that does that, if not, can anyone create one. I am sure I am not the only one who likes that idea.

Incidentally, the post could also include a notice to the effects that it will not appear until a moderator revises it.

ohh yeah that would be great. I support :)

With the influx of spam that vB forums have seen as of lately I think this is a good compromise for small forums. Upon posting new users will be able to see their post but nobody else (but admins and mods) would, plus they can get a notice what is going on. I am confident that many vB webmasters will appreciate this.

I also like this idea very much!

I want this also, but with a slightly enhanced control.

I want to specify this effect on a forum by forum basis. That is, if someone posts in forum "A", then Tachy-lite applies. If they post in forum "B" then it doesn't apply.

I need to allow Admins, Mods, and only that one user to see the thread/post until it gets moderated.

That is the idea :)

Any progress on that? it would help me (and others) very much. actually more than any mod I installed so far, would totally save me.

bump;) Any progress?

I would need this too. It should be a part of the standard software, IMO.
