Shoutbox rules and forum rules title

This was just an idea I had the other day. Since installing it, shoutbox spam has decreased, and the same with spam around the forums, it appears more people (so far) are following the rules, but it is still early days. But you can change the text to what ever you like, maybe even include an advertisement link in their. :)

Anyway it took me a few hours to figure this out because I was looking in all the wrong places when it was only a template edit that I needed to do.

So here is my second release, it is only a small template edit, but if you install it please press the Install button https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/ :)

Description
This will display on top of your shoutbox something like this:
"Shoutbox & Forum Rules: Have Fun! but No Spam, No Begging, Post in the correct section and respect fellow members."

Of course just edit the message to say what you like, and you can change the link to your forum rules as well. If you still have no idea what im on about, just take a look at the screen shot I uploaded.

You will need to edit the template "forumhome_vbshout"

Step 1:
In the template forumhome_vbshout find:

Change the link "faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_new_faq_item" to your forum rules link or just change it to 'faq.php' and you are done! :)

vBShout 2.0 and 2.1 works on 3.6.1.

I just updated the hack now. I changed the & sign to & to make it W3C CSS compliant.

You can either update this piece of code if your using it, or follow the instructions at the top of the page.

I do not have that code in my forumhome_vbshout. Is there anything else I can do?

installed, tested, and works perfectly.. i just hate to think about someone actually getting put in this usergroup..

Not exactly ;) but pretty much, it is only a simple template edit, but still something that has helped at least 20 people because it was clear instructions. :)

Yes, I have seen that modification before. Search shoutbox and im sure you will find all the shoutbox modifications.
