Guerilla Marketing Tactic For Your Forum: Pimping Myspace

1 Attachment(s)
Here's a tried and true method for getting many visitors to your forum using myspace. First of all, if you are already on myspace, create another id. You might get shutdown for doing this. So, having said this, let's rock and roll!

1) Create a new id on myspace using the same name as your forum. (ex: if your forum name is WhateverDude.com , create your id of WhateverDude.com)
2) Upload a crazy pic. Those seem to attract more attention. You can use the attached pic if you like.
3) Join a myspace wh*re train. You'll get many friends adding you and you adding them.
4) Go through each friend and add a comment to their page promoting their site. You'll get tons of visitors to your site.

Advanced Users:

Before I tell you this, let me just state that I have NO AFFILIATION WITH ANY OF THE PROGRAMS I'M ABOUT TO TELL YOU ABOUT EXCEPT FOR ME USING THEM MYSELF!

The methods that I just gave you take a while to do. Myspace limits you to 500 friend requests and 250 comments/day. That's still a lot to do manually. So, why do it? Here's your solution.

1) Auto Wh*re Train Joiner - here
2) Combo Pack (Auto Friend Request, Auto Messenger, Auto Commenter) - here

This method will DEFINITELY increase your traffic flow to your site!

LOL Good... :)

What good is all the traffic when your signup from these will be close to 0%

You'd be better off spending all that time, or money or whatever on marketing that works

actually that is close to what i have been doing for beasttoast.com

It has good turnouts if you have general forums... but if its a site about cars... or something its not the best way to do it.

Here's another software suite that's awesome to use! Myspace Suite http://www.myspace-suite.com/ . With this one, you don't even have to keep on entering MySpace's security thingy. It does that for you!! Woohoo!

thanks

dude, what's a +++++ train?

Yorixz 01-14-2007 01:59 PM

Pretty nice tutorial, even though it's a little dirty ;)

The MySpace-Suite is now called o-community, and I cannot get their demo software to work, their support forum is a complete and total joke, with the site administrator nowhere to be found, people complaining left and right that the captcha override doesn't work, the support forum has 50 porn spam profiles/links/posts for every legit one...there are people complaining all over the forum that the company has taken their money and ran...

I would REALLY give some serious thought to buying that nonsense.

I am just a newbie trying to figure out how to promote a site.

The other site, FriendAdder.....I can't seem to figure out if it requires I add friends before I can contact them to promote my site.....there are 56K users that fit the demographic, but that is via a MySpace Search....and I don't want to have to add 56K users to my friends list initially to be able to contact them.

Hmmmmmm seems interesting. Definately will check this out. Finster got your mail looking into it right now :D

kall 02-12-2007 05:37 PM

Did any others than the OP get positive results from this?

Not from his tactics, but we have gotten alot of results from signing both our main forums up for myspace.

Http://www.myspace.com/tampaforums and http://www.myspace.com/tamparacingdotcom - we've gotten quite a few new members from both.

kartik786 01-22-2008 02:01 PM

does this still work?

garala 02-07-2008 10:33 PM

How much visitors did you attract per day doing this? LoL

jking222222 02-09-2008 01:19 AM

I got 35 friends in a day by just searching user interests that matched my site's...
I think 1 of them actually went to my forums and joined =/
But now I have them all as friends, and when I have contests and giveaways, they will know and maybe join then...

this is a great method for generic type websites. If your site specializes in a niche such as mine does (poker), the multiple add sites and programs will be of little benefit. Instead manual searching and adding to your friends will be more beneficial for your site's growth

Horrible thoughts and suggestions ...

Mods : We have someone here promoting spamming here. While we are out these trying to stop spam on our communities, this guy is teaching how to promote that on a site that someone put their effort and money to make. Can we please put an end to such articles ?

metalslugger5 08-16-2011 03:18 AM

my opinion is that running a facebook fun page about your site will bring a lot of traffic aswel
