First post. woot!!

nix 08-22-2006 03:35 AM

Wow, nice. Going to look into this.

COBRAws 08-22-2006 03:44 AM

Is this automated with cPanel or just an automated procedure for members to apply for a hosting account?

Thanks

Thanks

It's an automated procedure for members to apply for hosting accounts.
You still have to go into the WHM and create the account.
If you do not offer cPanel I can remove any instance of it and give you the files.
If you use another control panel besides cPanel tell me the URL to access it and I'll edit the files and send them to you.

hichew 08-22-2006 04:56 AM

oh so this is not automatic script.
it's just a request system right?

y2krazy 08-22-2006 05:00 AM

Would be nice to have an automated process be performed in CPanel right after their application gets approved. Going to test it out though anyways. I'll be back with the results. ^^

EDIT: Installed Successfully! :)

EDIT2: Bug discovered! When trying to edit a Hosting Plan in the ACP, I am given this error (I tried to change the required post count from 250 to 10):

Yes. I wanted to automatically create the hosting account but if you had a user register multiple times they could make multiple accounts.

I have fixed both bugs.

Will this work with 3.5.4?

I do not have a 3.5.4 test board installed.
You can test it out and see if it successfully installs.

BETIServices 08-22-2006 07:38 AM

I don't know how I'd go about doing that.

You cannot do that with this addon. I think iPanel allows you to do it though.

I work with hsphere.CP

jluerken 08-22-2006 11:42 AM

Hi,

thanks a real great hack but I have a question.
I do not want to offer webspace (hosting) or some kind of this.
I want to offer people to get their own subforum and maybe a teamspeak channel based on their postcount.

Can this be done with your hack?

Snake 08-22-2006 11:44 AM

Wow this is great!

It could be done but not that well.
You can set up how many posts the user needs then leave the fields below it blank.

When do you expect to release 2.0.0? :)

It's already finished but it's only for sell.

y2krazy 08-22-2006 08:22 PM

Ah, ok. Also, check this out if you have a chance, harmor...

Where is your store?
Examples etc..

Also I like the idea of offering forums to users, for example the user request a forum to be done and either password protected and hiden from public. invites only :D

You can see what version 2.0.0 offers here.
I have taken screen shots of the 2.0.0 interface here. Almost everything from the screen shot of "Usergroup Permissions" to "Hosting Options" is not available in vHosting v1.0.1

I doubt I would implant your idea. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Shazz 08-22-2006 08:37 PM

Very Nice.!

y2krazy 08-22-2006 09:32 PM

Discovered another error. When you accept or decline an application, the links are not removed. If you click on accept or decline again, it will send another PM to the applicant and also add another '[Accepted]' or '[Declined]' to the thread title. Screenshot attached.

I coded this just for myself so I thought little things like that were unnecessary.

Now that I'm releasing this to the public I'll implant your suggestion.

Jesus05uk 08-22-2006 11:16 PM

I have given myself permissions to access admin_hosting.php
But I'm still not allowed to view.

Basically, the permissions aren't saving.

Datacenter1.com 08-23-2006 01:30 AM

looks like a great hack !

One question:
Is it possible to do something like x minimum post each month in order for to keep the hosting account?

Did you run the bitfields? It tells you how in "instructions.html"

I was planning on coding that on the paid version only.

Yes - I rebuilt everything.

Note: We had to use a customised product file to work with our server PHP.
An example is:

Old:
Code:

  `webspace` varchar(120) NOT NULL default '',
New:
Code:

  `webspace` varchar(120) NOT NULL,

Does everything work correctly now?

No.
I've always rebuilt it. I did everything I was told to.

I can change and save other admin permissions, but if I try to change hosting and save it. It doesn't save.
It just goes back to No as default.

harmor19 08-23-2006 02:57 AM

You did not upload the three files in the xml folder to the includes/xml directory which is on your server.

Thank you. Put them in the wrong folder. Now I feel dumb :(

Ok, basically, I don't use cPanel. I use dreamhost.com and they have their own CPanel.
What is a girl to do?

Are you able to give other people their own control panel?

This is for people that do not offer any control panel at all.
Download "hosting.php" and overwrite your current "hosting.php" script.
