just made a huge mistake please help
I just made a mistake and deleted a significant portion of the vbulletin software, and now that I have reuploaded it my forum just brings up a blank, white page. I have no idea why it is doing this, and al the files are in place, so I'm thinking maybe it is something with the database. Please help.

Make sure your config.php file is set correctly with database/password details etc.
Yea all of that stuff is right my forum is still just coming up as a blank white page though. I reuploaded everything exactly as it was before.
Did you install any mods or anything else that required specfic edits in the file?
yea i think i might have now that i tihnk about it i dont remember which but i had a mod for paypal donate, a couple skins and maybe one or 2 other small modifications

*install* is your friend ;) |
ok thanx for the info...you will have to excuse me but i am a complete newbie when it comes to this. even with the information of the hacks that i installed i still do not know what to do :(
i also made a few of my own small modifications (such as putting google and banner ads at the top and only allwaying certain email domains to register) but i dont see why they would cause a problem |
What did you delete exactly? If it was just files then chances are your DB is fine, has your FORUMHOME template been modified? If so I would revert it and also make sure you have a fresh copy of index.php uploaded.
o ok yea i did a few edits to forumhome im gonna do that when i get back. any more help would be greatly appreciated!

that did not work, how do i make changes to the forumhome template without being able to get into my forum? i cant see the forum or log in to admincp, its all just a blank white screen
A link to your site would help.
<a href="http://www.collegeforumz.com" target="_blank">www.collegeforumz.com</a> click on the forums
Absolutely nothing displays anywhere (forum, acp, mcp, archive) which means its a problem with one of the core files (config.php, init.php, functions.php and class_core.php are the ones I can think of).
I can view the forum.
You don't have some images uploaded though. |
yea we just fixed it thanx to all
