I love it, i may try it later :)

Kaleem 08-21-2006 02:40 AM

nice one :x

mdvaldosta 08-21-2006 01:36 PM

Looks nice, though is it just me - or is the fluid fixed also?

markbolyard 08-21-2006 01:38 PM

One download, gives you both fluid and fixed versions of this skin.

mdvaldosta 08-21-2006 01:41 PM

I'm saying your fluid view and fixed view both looks the same.

markbolyard 08-21-2006 01:48 PM

What is your screen resolution. I see two different widths, however I have a widescreen display. In either case, you can change the width in the style settings to whatever you would like it to be.

mdvaldosta 08-21-2006 01:52 PM

1024 x 768 IE6. Nice theme btw - installing it now.

markbolyard 08-21-2006 10:44 PM

Thanks mdvadosta. I appreciate your comments.

project-Buckfas 08-22-2006 10:14 AM

Reserved for install later. Great style, Thanks

baerwurz 08-22-2006 11:08 PM

Very nice Style! :)

But one Question, how can I fix the Width in the last Post Box?

See Screenshot:

markbolyard 08-23-2006 01:06 AM

You can change the width by editing the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template. You will see the following lines of code:

Code:

    <td class="thead">&nbsp;</td>
    <td class="thead" width="100%" align="$stylevar[left]">$vbphrase[forum]</td>
    <td class="thead" width="175">$vbphrase[last_post]</td>
    <td class="thead">$vbphrase[threads]</td>
    <td class="thead">$vbphrase[posts]</td>
    <if condition="$vboptions['showmoderatorcolumn']">
      <td class="thead">$vbphrase[moderator]</td>

You can adjust the column widths to suite your needs by adding width tags. See example below:

Code:

<td class="thead" width="5%">&nbsp;</td>
<td class="thead" width="50%" align="$stylevar[left]">$vbphrase[forum]</td>
<td class="thead" with="50%">$vbphrase[last_post]</td>
<td class="thead" width="5%">$vbphrase[threads]</td>
<td class="thead" width="5%">$vbphrase[posts]</td>
<if condition="$vboptions['showmoderatorcolumn']">
<td class="thead">$vbphrase[moderator]</td>

Adjust the percentages to fit your forums.

Any waqy to get the logo with JUST the colored background and NOT the the wording on it? The wording IS the background on that logo as it is on the same layer.

markbolyard 08-23-2006 11:51 AM

I will update the file contents momentarily. Once I edit this post to say it's updated, please download the file again and there will be a layered logo. Sorry about that. Same thing happened on the other skin release. I must be saving to the wrong directory :( Thanks for the notice.

guatdad 08-23-2006 12:47 PM

Well...if you do that, then I will install it on my forums ASAP.

markbolyard 08-23-2006 01:09 PM

Zip file has been updated. It now contains a layered logo for your ease of change. Thanks.

bonjurkes 08-24-2006 12:14 AM

i have a problem at footer

http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/7154/hatavu8.jpg

when i fix its size problem the width of forum gets smaller :(

markbolyard 08-24-2006 12:48 AM

I would have to see a live version to view the code and determine why it breaks on your forum. I don't know what the black boxes are, and I went to your forum in your profile and did not see it installed.

markbolyard 08-24-2006 12:08 PM

bonjurkes,

After reviewing your site, I see that the footer breaks if the following occur:

Style Selection + Language Selection + Long Forum Name exist. If this is the case, you can move a few things to clean it up.

In the footer template, find:

Code:

<br />
<div class="smallfont" align="center">

Will be the first two lines. Replace with:

Code:

<br />
<div class="smallfont" align="center">$vbphrase[all_times_are_gmt_x_time_now_is_y]<br />
$vbphrase[powered_by_vbulletin]<br />
$vboptions[copyrighttext]

Now find:

Code:

<!-- Do not remove this copyright notice -->
        $vbphrase[powered_by_vbulletin]
<!-- Do not remove this copyright notice -->

and remove $vbphrase[powered_by_vbulletin] from this section.

Next find:

Code:

        $vboptions[copyrighttext]
        </div>
</div></td>

and remove $vboptions[copyrighttext]

SAVE TEMPLATE

This will move the copyright text up to the time display area, thus freeing up space in the narrow footer for your selectors and long forum name.

thanx for help, but now it is too narrow, i want it to be wide, like before i fix the footer.

do i want much thing?

markbolyard 08-24-2006 01:51 PM

Not sure I follow what you mean? I see your changes, and other than you have $vbphrase[all_times_are_gmt_x_time_now_is_y] twice, it looks very nice. Please elaborate of what you mean by to narrow. The changes above don't affect the width of the style.

bonjurkes 08-24-2006 03:26 PM

yesterday i play with code before i sent message and did something like that

first pic is before and other pic is after your code.

markbolyard 08-24-2006 03:31 PM

If you would like to PM me a temp admincp username / pw, I'll be happy to fix it for you.

markbolyard 08-24-2006 04:23 PM

Ok, I now see why this doesn't appear to be fluid. In the templates, if you would like this style to fill your screen, search for these two images:

images/c2/c2_01.jpg
images/c2/c2_05.jpg

Change the width tag from "141" to "10" and this will remove the large padding on the left and right borders.

bonjurkes, I have already fixed your forum layout. Should appear much wider now. Thanks.

markbolyard 08-24-2006 05:08 PM

Zip file contents has been updated with corective xml files. The fixed and fluid versions no longer look alike. The fluid will expand full width.

Thank you.

markbolyard 08-26-2006 01:00 AM

If you happen to use this skin, but have no way to change the forum title (logo) just send me a pm with the info you want, and I'll edit the logo for you. Should you want something other than text there, then you may need to email me additional graphics. My email is located in my profile under MSN contact.

Also, if you find the footer to expand because you are extended copyright notices, I'll assist in cleaning that up too.

Thanks for all of those that have made comments, and those that have used my styles.

VBUsers 08-26-2006 04:58 AM

is the PSD included?

markbolyard 08-27-2006 03:02 AM

PSD for the logo is included. Sorry but I do not release full PSD's with my styles.

AtomixPain 08-28-2006 12:21 PM

Very nice style indeed mark..one of the best styles i've seen so far (lol..should be paid :D) i made it my default...:)

however is it possible to get an "arcade" and a "home" button to suit my forum ? or if u can release the psd for creating one, i would be grateful. :)

thanks a lot, cheers for the awesome job

markbolyard 08-28-2006 12:36 PM

Atomixpain, See attached. I have added the header button PSD for you to change / add whatever button options you would like.

Thanks for the comments.

AtomixPain 08-28-2006 12:43 PM

Thanks a lot mate..:)

mdvaldosta 08-28-2006 01:55 PM

Question, on your demo the postbit is much nicer (avatars etc. on the left side as opposed to the top). It's not like this when you actually install the template though.

project-Buckfas 08-28-2006 02:11 PM

You need to change your settings to postbit legacy.

In vBulletiin admincp

vBulletin options --> Style & Language Settings --> Use Legacy (Vertical) Postbit Template

Set this to yes.

mdvaldosta 08-28-2006 03:42 PM

Sweet, amazing that was so easy. Thanks.

This is correct. Thanks project-Buckfas for assisting him ;)

mikelbeck 08-29-2006 11:04 AM

I've got this skin installed here: http://www.northeastbracketracing.com... The only issue I have is that in the navbar it shows "Your PM box is % full." without a number there. I thought it was because the "pmpercent" variable wasn't in the vbAdvanced global variable list, but that's not it.

Any ideas?

markbolyard 08-29-2006 11:45 AM

Can you PM or post a screenshot of where this is occuring. I have viewed this style on my demo board and have no errors like this. Thanks.

mikelbeck 08-29-2006 02:28 PM

Here's a screenshot.

Sky-Board 08-29-2006 11:36 PM

At first i want to thank you for this great style :) i really like it. And i'll add it regularly to my Forum. But now the question: Is it possible to get some kind of .psd file(s) where i have the single buttons not the whole navbar ? I want to translate the Buttons to german but it doesn't work because some german words are too long. any idea how to get a german navbar with 2 extra buttons ?

cu !
