Faddah Style
 

Hello :)

This is the vBulletin 3.6.0 version of Faddah Style that has been originally released for vBulletin 3.5.4.

The skin is a fixed skin with Google Adsense added to both header and footer along with a scrolling text marquee and the login area added to the header.

I hope you like it ;)



Skin Colors:

Silver, Dark Blue, Dark Purple and light blue

Font Used:
Arial Black

Skin Design:

- Header design

- Footer Design

- Buttons Design

- Status Icons Design

- Gradients Design


Code Changes:

- Adsense added to both header and footer

- Login and PM area added to the header and removed from the navbar template.

- A marquee has been added to the header

- Extra buttons for arcades, gallery and store have been added to the header.



Zip File Content:


-FH_Faddah folder : Style images folder (upload)

-FH_Faddah.xml file : import this through your admincp

-PSD files folder : Layer psd files for the style (not to be uploaded)

-logo Folder : contains empty logo pic to place your logo on. After placing your logo on this pic, upload it to forums/images/FH_Faddah
(note: don't change the pic name or it will not show)

-empty-buttons Folder : contains an empty version of the buttons used in the design so you can add what ever you want to them.

Very nice skin and i'm going to use it with a little editing. I've edited a few things on the header psd, how do I save it to use with the theme? Sorry for the newb question, but I just started using vbulletin. I'd appreciate your help :D

save the images (if your using photoshop go to file/save for web) then rename them to the same file name as they are in the upload folder then overwrite the originals on your server.

I figured as much, but all of the header is in pieces, and the psd is the whole thing. I don't know if there's an easy way to save it in pieces, or how to change the code, or even if i'll have to go and cut all the pieces by hand. Any advice? Thanks for helping so far, btw.

MasterDIMM, you have to slice the PSD file using Photoshop and then save for web as HTML, many thanks :)

I am just starting to work on this but is there an image missing in the download?

I have an error for "imgdir_rating" at a path of images/ratingFH_Faddah/

This came out of the stylevar "imgdir_rating" if that helps...

Thanks Quarterbore for your post, change the imgdir_rating to images/FH_Faddah/rating instead of images/ratingFH_Faddah/

how do you make the forum topic areas ? same way as a header? im assuming you design it and slice it up with photoshop/image ready or whichever program and then export the html but where do you enter the html into which files? and same for footers correct ?

Yes I design and then slice the table header, in my skins, the table header is composed of 3 header images and the CSS plays the role in making them appear as one image, same is for table footer.

Where is the LOG OUT button, Quick Links, New posts type of stuff. Shoudl be default with this nice skin!

The text in posts is too far up into the GREY bar and not down in the light blue test area of posts! Can this be fixed?

yesfans, thank you for your posts :) As for the buttons you mentioned, I will try to add these in the new version of the skin. As for the text in the table header, this can't be done at the moment unless you edit the ForumHome template and change the code.

Dufachi, thank you for your post :) I will release a new version of this skin soon and you can also remove the Google ads by taking off the Google code from the header and the footer by following the instructions in the ReadMe.txt

Hey, I like this one.. and I want to use it on my site after I make the main changes to fit Arabic language and that need to a lot of work

but I have a question:
can I use it with 3.6.8 and 3.7.0 with out any problems?

Thank you guys for your posts and sorry for the delay in answering them but I was out of business for a while after selling my website, and now i'm back and starting a new site. And I will make new releases for all the free skins again and I will start with both Faddah Style & Cairo Style which will be updated next week with such bug fixes.
