excellent! i'm usually always searching for 'titles only'.. this is a big help. thanks!
|
for those of you that wish to have a "radio" style input... and note that i also have mine locked with checked by default. if you don't want yours checked by default just remove checked="checked".
Code:
<!-- Start Search Title only in search drop-down --> |
I had tried the same by duplicating the option on the advanced search.
However, vB would not load the phrase "Search full text", only "Search titles only" and i could not hardcode it because theforum is multi lingual. This solves my problem (no need for "Search full text") and is a more elegant way of doing it. Thanks for sharing. Clicked on install. |

Just wanted to say Thanxx to both Nathanrich & Abe1. I sat down to try this again in the Navbar menu code this time and it worked PERFECTLY!
|
Thanks for this...
Also thanks to maxicep for your post... it helped me figure out how to get this into my heavily customized style. |
Thanks Installed !

Great mod!
I have lost count of the number of times I wished this was an option in the drop down menu! I also appreciate adding it to the forumdisplay search. I just have one question in that regard tough. I want the check box to show up below the search field. I've figured out how to do it on the nav bar, but I can't (for whatever reason) figure out where to put it in the code to show up in the forumdisplay search. Any insight would be appreciated! Great template mod! One of my favorites. |
Updated for vb3.6.6/7. Also, I added template edit for forumdisplay.
|
This mod is very usefull for my users.
Thanks!! |
The changes that you made, do they only work for 3.6.6 or will they work on 3.6.5 if I apply them before the update?

Abe1 - would you mind describing exactly what changes you made?
The old mod works fine on our upgraded board. I'm wondering what you changed and why...:) |
I'm waiting so long to have this built in on vbulletin, thanks abe.

The moved the <form> location. This also adds it to the forum display page. |
Installed.
Works great. For those who has the statement appearing twice in forum display, just paste the code after the first, not the second. Regards Steve |
