VBGooglemap Hotspot Edition 1.0.4
I'm proud to announce that the Hotspot Edition is currently available to you all !!!

This is the port of the VB 3.5.X version (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=114149)

Function
The vbgooglemap Hotspot Edition is a design from StonyArc (http://www.stonyarc.com). It allows you to create and maintain a whole range of elements like landmarks, places to visit or even people. The application is fully manageable from the control panels. Each specific category can have a specific colour code. The configuration is done by the administrator. He or she can edit/approve/add catogories name it, it's there.
Clicking on a marker will open a small balloon with some essential elements for that spot and an image in the second tab. For each marker on the map there is also a full details page including support for the vbulletin full editor (wysiwyg) so additional information and images can be added.

Use the menus to navigate through all the functions.

Vbgooglemap Hotspot Edition is ideal for handling landmarks, travel, events or even giving your users their own page.

Don't forget to hit install !!!!!!!

Make sure you all read the pdf included.

There is an auto approve function you need to activate and you also need to set the usergroup permissions

I'll port the member edition later on this week.

FleaBag 08-05-2006 09:01 PM

Looks awesome. I think this is going to have a huge impact on my forum - it's ideal! Thank you for all your hard work.

Am I the only idiot who cannot get it to work? :D

I've read through the PDF, follow the install procedures and cannot get the control panel to show up in the ACP. I'm running 3.6.0 if that makes any difference.

What other hacks are you running?

You can try a full reinstall. Make sure after an install you do a full refresh of the page.

Did you get the bitfields in the usergroups manager?

Ipuck 08-06-2006 06:33 PM

Great Mod!!

Three questions?

1. How do I change the size of the maps?

2. Can I change the fields name or add or remove fields. for example. Change "small text" to "something"

3. In the element list, can I add a search option. Like search all the maps listed by "username"

Thank you!

same with me , the bitfields updated but it does not show the link in admin cp

Edit : looked into this

vbgooglemaphse_admin.php says its for VBGooglemap Hotspot Edition admin 1.0.1 by StonyArc for 3.5.x ??

and same with vbgooglemaphse.php

Is this correct??

Parture 08-07-2006 11:26 PM

I upgraded to 3.6.0. My hse didn't recognize my key. Then I clicked on "update" under "General Settings". Then I went to see if it would would work and it did.

Parture 08-08-2006 03:46 AM

Also, I forgot that code I am suppose to put in the postbit to link to our hotspot.

bigtime 08-08-2006 05:02 AM

Hi,

Excellent feature!!!

If you look here (http://www.defend.net/deluxeforums/v...7.03125&zoom=5) under the text field, you'll see that stripslashes needs to be utilized.

Also, I added an element. I then created a category. I tried to edit the element to add it into my new category but there is no text box to enter it into.

Also, is it possible that a user type in an address to show the location on the map?

Thanks again for your hard work!!!!

Tim

Parture 08-08-2006 05:47 AM

I think I figured it out:

<if condition="$post[fieldXX]">
<a href="$post[fieldXX]" target=”_self”><font size="1">$post[username]’s location</font></a>
</if>

Eladesor 08-08-2006 10:27 AM

I've finally got mine working..... :)

Don't ask me what I did...I just re-installed it about nine time and hey presto! The links in the AdminCP showed up :)

Really looking forward to using this - it looks excellent!!!

Is there any possibility to add a function, that users can edit their own Markers on the Map, like in the Member Edition?

Would be nice ;)

soulface 08-17-2006 07:39 AM

I dont know if other ppls having this problem or not but am currently facing problem with the 'bitfield_vbgooglemaphse.xml' file. If i upload this file, its messes up all 'check box' option in vBulletin Options, such as in the 'Image Seting' Image Verification Options. In User Listing & Profile Viewing option all the Member List Field Options (check box).

Help!!!

Ncturnal 08-23-2006 11:38 AM

It's working without any problems for me on vB 3.6.0.

Hunne 08-23-2006 11:40 AM

Ah I just figured out what to do. I had to install the member-edition first.
Great work!

y2krazy 08-24-2006 06:07 PM

Working good here, just a minor hitch I noticed (see attached screenshots). Doesn't display a title in IE or anything for the navbit.

Troy Roberts 08-24-2006 06:46 PM

Can you set an expiration date on them? That would be helpful for events. After the event is over the pin goes away.

y2krazy 08-24-2006 11:00 PM

I would definately like to see that, Troy.

JimLink 08-25-2006 02:12 PM

I dont get it... Everything shows up but the ACP menu items... and that crazy link y2Krazy points out above... I would be happy if the ACP links showed up though.

JimLink 08-26-2006 01:13 PM

Ok I must have missed the part about supporting only those that clicked install. I have clicked install... But I have yet to figure out why the menu optiions do not appear in the ACP.
