Cairo Style
 

Hello
This is the vBulletin 3.6 compatable version of Cairo Style.
The skin has Google Adsense added to both header and footer.
I hope you like it :)

Skin Colors:
Silver, White, Grey, Dark Grey, Red and Dark Red

Skin Width:
800 Pixels

Skin Design:
- Header design
- Footer Design
- Buttons Design
- Status Icons Design
- Gradients Design

Code Changes:
- Adsense added to both header and footer
- Login and PM area added to the header and removed from the navbar template.
- Extra buttons for arcades, gallery and links have been added to the header.

Zip File Content:

-FH_Cairo folder : Style images folder (upload)
-FH_Cairo.xml file : import this through your admincp
-PSD files folder : Layer psd files for the style (not to be uploaded)
-logo Folder : contains empty logo pic to place your logo on. After placing your logo on this pic, upload it to forums/images/FH_Cairo
(note: don't change the pic name or it will not show)
-empty-buttons Folder : contains an empty version of the buttons used in the design so you can add what ever you want to them.
-README.txt

I like the big 5 buttons. Excellent for my site content. That's the main reason I'm installing this.

very nice style egtrix I may mess with it and try to get it Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional but I must say its clean loads fast very very nice

question how are you getting both google ads to show up? i just changed he code to mine the top shows up but not the bottom... also you have a few images linked to your site still

DementedMindz, as for the Google ads, you have to wait for a while till both appear, this is because Google take some time till it understands the content of your site and begin displaying ads.
As for the linked pics, yes I have linked empty spacer links in order to have protection as from what I saw so far, arund 80% of the users using my skins, remove the backlinks and this help as a protection for my work.

yeah i cant use it right now it dont work to well with the arcade and yeah i seen the links i was like wtf is this... i mean i could see just the bottom footer link but the spacers too? oh well it was nice while it lasted...

it's ok but if i had users not removing the footer backlinks I would have removed the spacer protection but as you know, this is not the case and I could placed them in a place where nobody sees them but I wanted to let people know about it as it's placed in the header which must be edit by users so they can add their links (and they will probably see it as you did) :)

Good Skin, installed. But I don't need that bar with the image links to arcade, etc. I've been trying to comment it out, but the whole header breaks.

Is there an easier way? Thanks.

The only way to remove this bar is by editing the attached PSD file and then slicing the header again.

I, however, don't know how to slice images. :( I just want to collapse that red 'bar' easily. I guess I could try commenting out every IMG tag in that area. :-/

BTW, I have installed it on a fresh board that hasn't launced yet. I'll PM you the link.

ok, as for the skin installed, you will need to change vbulletin options through your admincp to make this skin as your default skin, I will see your PM now and let me see what I can do :)

Also, just wanted to report a color bug. The quick reply container is in a shade of blue, and there is no mutli-quote button. Cheers.

The skin is working fine on your board, maybe all you need is to refresh your browser :)

I think you mis understood me. I reverted back to the way you had it.

See, all I did was add <!-- and --> tags to certain spots. (commenting-out areas) When I did that, things went beserk. So I removed those codes. I still want help removing that whole bar.

Red Matrix, ok I got you. If you want to add any code, please added after the </table> tag otherwise things won't go right. As for removing the bar, it's almost immposible with re-slicing images. Thank you :)

Are you going to add the multi quote button, and fix the blue colors around the quick reply box? thnx.

Thanks Red Matrix for your post. As for the multi quote buttons, they are already there but they need to be themed with the same colors as the skin. And I will try to fix these probs in the next skin version.

I believe it is me just messing it up somehow but I have managed to take the forums and threads out of uniform on the first page, the posts numbers etc are now below the post name.. Any ideas how I can return it back?

How exactly do I re-install? :ermm: I removed the skin and upload the XML file again but that had no effect? Im new to this forum so am still learning the ropes :confused:

np :) all you have to do is to uninstall the skin first from your admincp>Styles & Templates and then choose the uninstall option from the scroll down menu in the right panel beside FH_Cairo.
Once done then install the skin again according to the installation instructions in the ReadMe.txt file
