Dark Glossy Buttons
 

The only modifications I will undertake on these buttons are background colour modifications. Other coloured sets will be released shortly for more of a variety. :)

Note!! Do not ask for the .PSD files. I won't release them for a variety of reasons.

Update: Although the multi-quotes have been added in the original .zip archive, I've came to the conclusion (and with the help of christiansb reply) that not everyone likes large multi-quote buttons therefore designed smaller variations which you can download in the attachment (Right).

These are nice buttons - do you have a multi-quote button for 3.6 as well? (I've not played with 3.6 yet - Is that what the quoteplus and quoteminus are?)

Updated the first post in this thread with smaller Multi-quote buttons. I did release multi-quote buttons in the original archive but am aware the larger variants won't appeal t everyone thus I added alternative smaller variants. :)

I would so like to use this set of my site, but there are only a few things missing..

1, there isn't an infractions icon for the little icon in posts that point to post infraction about X topic..

2, This set looks like it's made to work against a light background color. I would love to see it setup so it works against a dark background color, (Namely Black), but I can probably do that myself.

3, What about a skype icon? I see you have MSN, AIM, YIM, and ICQ... What about Skype?

1. I haven't ever designed the "Infractions" Image whenever I designed a vB button set. I suppose there's no reason not to though I'll probably design and update the sets I release once I install 3.6 on my main site.

2. Correct. They are saved out for a white background though you can request for a modification for a background colour change (which was stated in the first post in this thread). if you provide a link to your board I can see what colours the buttons need saving out to and post the attachment.

Note!! bare in mind it's only background colour changes I'll do on this button set. :)

3. I've been putting this off, dunno why the Icon could be designed in less than 5 minutes so sometime today I'll update the attachment with the skype marker.

2. I'm using a pretty dark style, most graphics are incomplete, and I redid my templates since I installed 3.6 on there.. You can find my forums be looking in my profile, or clicking here. :p

I've managed to get your request complete though I still need to design the skype images (still thinking what type of design to do). Once I've done that I'll update this reply and post the attachment. :)

I've included 2 sets of Multi_quote images small and large incase you didn't fancy using the larger ones.

Snort, this might compliment your forum with the new button set.

@cristianb: Those look great... :o I'll probably use those black ones if they are antialised for black backgrounds... *lol*

@Shelly_c: Aweome job on those, but I forgot to mention, There's a "redcard" and "yellowcard" image that goes along with the infraction system.. Could we possibly have something to match the buttons, but still show up like so..

I think the reputation icon is the only other icon I haven't designed for this set, mainly because I'm trying to design something that is exceeding my capabilities. I'll see what I can do and will post something soon for you. :)

Great set of buttons, which I will hopefully be using. I just have a couple of question, but please bear with me as I'm just a novice with regard to vBulletin:

Do I upload all of the buttons to the buttons folder of my forum, or do they go into separate folders, such as statusicons, misc, etc?

Do I need to rename any of them and do I need to delete any of the original ones?

when I install them, all the buttons work except for the multiqoute ones. I uploaded them but they don't work.

you have to rename them.

what do I have to rename and to what?

Choose which multi-quote variants (whether it's the large or small) and rename them to multiquote_off.gif & multiquote_on.gif. These were designed before I upgrade to 3.6 and didn't know what they were originally name as. In short, I got a little lazy and didn't check. :)

upload them into the /buttons directory for the specific style you want them to display for. :)

K thanks and the online/offline images doesn't show either.

They should show, I'm sure I named them correctly. Ensure I renamed them as the following:

- user_online.gif
- user_offline.gif
- user_invisible.gif

Afterwhich, upload them to the /statusicon directory.

edit: I downloaded the attachment and noticed I didn't include the underscore when I renamed the offline icon. I removed the old archive and updated it with the correct title. Like I said though, upload them into the directory I mentioned and they should work. :)

I would imagine that the ADD multiquote icon, which adds the post in your multiquote queue should be black, then turn red to show it's enabled for that post?

I've taken the liberty of changing the + and - for myself and have attached them to this post if anyone wants them. (If you want me to remove them please pm)
