Members who have posted Today (or in the last 24 hours)

This modification is no longer available or supported.

This plugin adds a simple display of all members who have posted in the forum - either today (i.e. since midnight) or in the last 24 hours.

The main features of the 3.6 Version are basically the same as previous versions ;

1. It displays the list on Forum Home.
2. The list view is collapsable, so you just see the number of posters.
3. Invisible users are only displayed to those allowed to see them (with a "*")
4. Users who should display as coloured or bold etc will be displayed correctly. (based on the display usergroup)
5. If you 'hover' over a username it will show the time they last posted.
6. The list is in member name order.
7. If you click on a members name it will list their posts.
8. The hack is phrased.
9. The ability to turn it on/off is in the ACP Forum Home Options.
10. The ability to allow only certain usergroups to view the list is an ACP option (include or exclude groups).
11. The switch between Posted Today and Rolling 24 Hours is an ACP option.

Below added in v4.39
12. The listing of names can now be suppressed (a simple message is displayed instead).
13. The list of names can be set to be always collapsed on initial view.
14. The option to record and display the Most Ever posters has been added (v4.45+).

(Options are located in vBulletin Options > Who Has Posted).

Unzip the XML and import into vB using the ACP Product Manager. Make sure you check the display settings once installed.

To upgrade from the 3.5 version just re-import the product with the overwrite option set to yes.

I don't think I would want this displayed to all my members, because I already have the "members in the past 24 hours" who logged in mod. But I would like this to be displayed just for statistical purposes.

So is there a way to have it work to only be displayed when an administrator is looged in?

Paul M 08-02-2006 05:41 PM

See point 10 in the listed features.

Ohiosweetheart 08-06-2006 12:27 PM

Does this tell how many posts they've made? Or just who has posted?

Paul M 08-06-2006 02:55 PM

It will show when they last posted, but not how many posts they have made.

If you click on the name it shows all the posts that they made in that day... So if they wanted to count they could pretty easily figure it out I guess...

jw00dy 08-10-2006 08:15 AM

Thanks, again, excellent

*kicks the install button*

Virtex-II 08-16-2006 10:44 AM

I need to modify this hack a bit to show the maximum number of posts in a day. Can this be done?

Virtex-II 08-16-2006 08:36 PM

Preatty please Paul could you tell me if what I would like to do can be done with this hack or it requires a brand new one? Thanks!!!

Paul M 08-16-2006 09:02 PM

Virtex-II ,

You are not currently showing up as having installed this modification. To receive support for my work here at vBulletin.org, I ask you to please click on the install link for this modification - this can be found in the main (first) post, on the right hand side.

Thank you. :)

Virtex-II 08-16-2006 09:16 PM

Sorry Paul_M forgot to do it, I did it right now!!!

Paul M 08-16-2006 09:22 PM

Do you mean something like this ;

Quote:

The most posters in one day was 15, 06-01-2006.
There is an add-on that does that.

Nope Paul_M, I mean the most number of posts in one day, something like the one you linked in the previous post but instead of the posters I wanted to be reported the number of posts.

Paul M 08-16-2006 09:34 PM

I see - that would require a new modification.

Sorry, I don't do custom modifications, not enough hours in the day.

Hemanth 08-17-2006 08:16 AM

WeArab 08-25-2006 05:07 PM

I suggest you look again, the history is clearly there.

No, that never got migrated to this - because generally speaking, the who posted list is not as large as the who visited list. That said, it may get added at some point.

Is there any reason why the "most ever" (of this and the visited hack) numbers would reset if no other changes have been made? This happened once before and happened again today. Today was very bad timing because we got a write up in today's newspaper, and as of this moment, it is saying the most posters in one day is 7 and most visiters is 15 - both numbers about 1/6 of what they should be. :(

Great hack BTW, this is the only issue I have had with it!

Paul M 11-03-2006 12:19 PM

That's actually an issue with the CMPS usersonline module. They fixed it in 2.2.1.

JenniferK 11-03-2006 12:22 PM

So even though I'm talking about the display on the forum home, not on the CMPS page, the 2.0 version of vBAdvanced is causing the problem?

There is a server time change issue happening today. Contact your hosts.

Correct, the broken version of that module erases the most ever visitors/posters etc data.

JenniferK 11-03-2006 12:54 PM

OK, thank you for the quick replies. :) I'm kicking myself that I didn't look into it after the first time so I wouldn't have this happen today of all days!

Exitilus 11-19-2006 02:04 AM

I noticed a new version of this came out so I went ahead and upgraded. Now it's kinda weird the # of last posters has disappeared ... Just shows:

Quote:

Total members that have posted on the forum in the last 24 hours:
Show's the users .. just not the #.
