Proboards Black [Black/dark grey]

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CLICK INSTALL

UPDATE: the color mismatch found in the gradient for catagories has now been fixed in the new version, this should solve the problem that occurs where people use forum description in their catagories.

Hello guys, this is my third skin i've released on here so i hope you guys like it.

Anyway this skin is supposed to be an imitation of the proboards black skin, with a few touches of my own, i've gotten it as close to the skin as possible and its a pretty basic skin that doesn't require much to load.

I'm not very good at button making so i left the default ones, but if anyone wants to make some for this skin please let me know so we can add it here.

anyways i'm pretty pleased with the way this turned out as i was just messing about with some settings when i discovered it looked similar to the proboards skins i used to use when i had one (a LONG time ago).

there isn't much to do on your part and installation take around 3 minuites or so.

screenshots are provided ^_^ anyways i hope you like it.

THIS SKIN IS FREE BUT IF YOU'D LIKE TO DONATE TO HELP FUND US PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO BELOW:

this might be a really stupid question but will 3.6 skins work on 3.5.4? im not ready for the upgrade and will be sticking w/ 3.5.4. i thought i read somewhere on here that they were simular in base structure and some things were compatable. great looking skin though.

Neo_Angelo 07-23-2006 06:59 PM

thank, i believe this skin to work on 3.5.4, since there no real template edits made so i assume it would yes.

BlueEyesOnly 07-24-2006 08:27 AM

what about some new icons for dark background? the original vb icons looking bad.

Neo_Angelo 07-24-2006 06:59 PM

yes, i'm not a button designer.....i admit i'm terrible at button icons, thats why all my skins get stuck with the vB icons. thats why my skins lack compared to everyone elses, and is why in my release i ask for button designers to come up with some buttons ^_^

Brandon Sheley 07-24-2006 11:43 PM

Shaliza 08-13-2006 10:33 PM

Great style! I've never been a fan of Proboards, but I admit that I've always liked their dark style.

to do this go to your style VARS for the proboards black skin and then alter the logo url for it.

Neo_Angelo 09-15-2006 11:34 AM

i started out on proboards and i always liked the black theme, which is why i re-created it for vB. plus i know a few people who like it. and it must be liked with so many downloads ^_^

Capper5016 09-28-2006 05:12 AM

Beautiful skin....Can someone help me? I'd like for the entire forums to be fixed at 982W for this template, but I'm new to VB. I've tried and tried, but can't get the forums to center, stay the size I want, or match up with my header image.

Neo_Angelo 09-28-2006 07:48 PM

ok your forums are fixed my friend ^_^ enjoy.

Capper5016 09-28-2006 11:10 PM

Capper5016 10-10-2006 09:25 PM

Neo_Angelo 10-13-2006 06:49 PM

Bill Bickley 10-14-2006 12:46 AM

Very attractive, but doesn't appear to leave space for a forum description?

Bill

Capper5016 10-14-2006 03:51 PM

nevermind

Bill

there is space for the forum descriptions if you use them. my example screenshots are from my own forum which doesn't need big descriptions.

the tables themselves expand the more text you put into them.

Have you checked the Button Set area of the Graphics section here?

Neo_Angelo 10-27-2006 03:44 PM

MeMySelfNi 10-29-2006 07:30 PM

I like this skin...

Neo_Angelo 10-30-2006 08:14 PM

thank you MeMySelfNi.

the skin generally does look good on forums, and using the proboards theme i think looks very smooth and original on vBulletin. glad people like it.

The Itchy One 11-07-2006 07:19 PM

hey Neo, nice theme,

my only grip is:

can you fit the theme to accomodate forum descriptions, the text looks off and is hard to read,

example:

http://lovepants.co.uk/forum/index.php?styleid=6

Do you have a MAC? Just asking cuz I see it as clean as well. My only experience with any fonts being unclear is on a the MAC, but that is true for most fonts when it comes to these computers, as they don't always remain as true fonts. soz

Yo Tom...BTW: This style is very cool... Thumbs up man!

Capper5016 11-09-2006 07:31 AM

Fixed...server issue, not template issue
