[BB Code] Google embedded video
 

WORKS ON 3.6 versions VBulletin as well

This code allow your members to embed Google Videos ONLY into their posts.

All your users need to do is copy and paste the last bit of url [found on the
Google site for whatever video they want to post] inside the tags {see example below}

To Install:
1. Go To Admin CP
2. Scroll down the left nav and select Custom BB Codes
3. Add New BB Code
4. Fill in the following:

Title: Google Video BB code
Tag: gv
Replacement:

Example: [gv]841651212169523424[/gv]
Description: Embbeds Google Video's
Use {Option}: No
Then click save

Installed it and works like a charm. Did the youtube one yesterday and had no problems getting this one installed. Anymedia is a lot more work than just popping in a couple bbcodes to get both youtube and google videos. So this is definately appreciated.

Small cosmetic problem (and probably search engines too).
Check the title of the page when you click the last post button of a topic where the bbcode is used.
Example for rickie's page:

This seems to happen with all embedded bbcodes :S

I noticed it only happens with IE and not with FF.
The source also shows a clean title so Bill Gates messed up and i messed up for not using FF in the first place :D

Anyone having problems uploading videos on google? I wonder if it has anything to do with today's purchase of YouTube.

Yes, i do. I am having problems uploading youtube and google. It was working well last night. But today all seems not working and made me checking all over my codes.

If I add a video from google.com it works but if its from google.ca the video does not show. Since I am up in Canada is there a way to make those from google.ca work?

and it works perfectly make sure you use all the code after the =
eg:[GV]-4160250733234270527[/GV]

If you embed a video near the top of a thread the "Thread Tools" drop down menu expands behind the video.

Is it possible to edit the code so that the Thread Tools drop down is on top of the video.

Having trouble with this code after installing it.

I used the code
[gv]4893123964719164150[/gv] (from the google video) I also noticed there was more in the google url so when that tag didnt work I even changed it to...

[gv]4893123964719164150&q=firefighter+on+fire&hl=en[/gv] but still nothing.

i do the same he tell me to do...but not work???????? i put my flv link on it.....not play at all. how to make it work? do i have to change something?
