Pay to Register
Due to the pricing and yearly fee of vBulletin I am no longer creating mods for vBulletin, instead I have stepped out of the shadow of vBulletin to create my own stand alone mods. I wish to thank everyone who downloaded and installed my mods but as of now with not being able to afford hosting and vBulletin, I decided to drop vBulletin so hopes of me returning would only happen if my newest venture brings me a nice profit.
Thank you all again Steve |

klaush: Exactly what are you looking for? |
great hack there m8 will give it go see whats what i do have ideas that this can come in handy:D
This could be quite useful once my site gets bigger. Thanks! :)
Your all welcome, glad I could help. See alot of people request this little addon so I figured I would make it since it wasn't that hard.
is this a one time charge? if so, how can i make it an annual subscription charge?
In your subscription manager, edit the subscription you want, then change the length to say 1 year, then click the check box for recurring then save.
All my addon does is redirect to the payment page once they click register. |
Can u add a feild for Coupon to Override the Subscription
that will be great addon |
I will look into this addon for my next version.
Doesn't appear to work with PayPal.
awsome man i love it
nologic: this is not a hack by itself, it is an addon, it relies on your subscription system. You need to make sure you have it setup to work properly. All this addon does is redirect to your subscription page, doesn't work as a stand alone payment system.
sudn3sc3d: thanks |
This is a great idea -- thanks for making this possible -- it's a shame that vBulletin hasn't added the ability to pay for registration yet, I assumed that would have been a feature ages ago!
Steve,
I figured out part of the problem. The redirect is looking for the payment.php page in the site root directory instead of my forums directory. Any quick and dirty way to fix that? |
nologic: do the below.
Go to AdminCP > Plugin System > Plugin Manager > Open Registration Function - Pay to Register Replace code with: Code:
header("Location: /forums/payments.php"); Cheers Steve |
Sorry everyone but with my server down and me looking for new hosting I have no where to work on updates or new plugins so it will be a bit longer before I release a new update.
I believe I will discontinue Pay to Register for vB 3.5.x as Pay to Register works great on 3.6.x and I will only support the version for vB 3.6.x
i am a newbie to this...can you show me where i would put this code exactly? thanks.
Sorry batmandr, I wouldn't be able to give you the help you ask for until Monday. I have to pull a double shift tomorrow and today I have to get to bed early. So if you can wait till Monday then we can talk via messenger and get you straightened out.
Unfortunately all of my mods will stop being developed as I cannot afford the vbulletin license fee any longer nor can I afford to pay hosting every month along with that yearly fee. So I am moving on to a project for the least part that will include me developing my own php stuff, can't say otherwise my post will be deleted and I'll get in trouble. But all in all, I thank everyone who installed my mods, I will allow for another week of peeps downloading and installing them before I remove them for good.
