Mmm... you need a shared host of some sort - I'm not familiar with them. Definitely not a dedicated or virtual.

COBRAws 06-19-2006 05:17 PM

Where do you live? Living in Australia like Erwin, or in the US is not the same regarding WWW speed with the host.

ps: shared hosting would be your plan, I second erwin.

Cheers

That's a very small plan, you can find a plan like that for less than $5 on most hosting sites. I'd check out www.webhostingtalk.com and read some reviews.

2 GB of storage if an awful lot :/

What's your price range?

I have also hear www.hostgator.com are pretty good

BryceI 06-29-2006 11:27 PM

I use HostGator. They provide good service at a good price. I recommend them.

SCORPION1 07-07-2006 10:51 AM

hostgator a really good and cheap and offer a really good customer service and reliable but stricted i use that for one of my site:D

johnrizz 07-10-2006 11:23 PM

thay seem to be ok! http://www.vodahost.com/

GE-Biggs 07-11-2006 07:38 PM

I have been with www.bluehost.com for over 2 years now, there have been minor hickups due to some very large ddos attacks but otherwise I personally have not had any problems with them.

15 Gb of storage, 400 GB of bandwidth etc.

Delphiprogrammi 07-11-2006 08:43 PM

i'm hosted at hostgator and i recommend them
 • php safe mode => off
 • unlimited MySQL databases
 • there control panel is cpanel
 • unlimited pop 3 email accounts
 • GD => yes
 • ImageMagick => yes
 • webstats => awstats
 • SSH/shell access => no (at shared or reseller servers )
 • storage => they have plans that fit your needs ....

there technical support is one of the best i have ever worked with.Not the usual "we are looking into it reply after 24 hours" support questions are answered and in most cases solved within 3 hours

there is however one dislike i have with hostgator.If you have a verry large database (and you're on a shared server) you will have to ask them to make a backup whenever you want one you can't do this yourself there

Zachery 07-11-2006 08:49 PM

No shell access means you look for another server host.

naeemakhtar 07-12-2006 06:02 AM

Avoid IntegraHost.com they are complete and utterly useless. My new web host is miles more reliable and much more efficient. Integrahost talk a good deal but they have ZERO customer service!

Guest210212002 07-15-2006 11:42 PM

Just want to chime in and say that if you're looking for something expandable, powervps.com is absolutely outstanding. Best host I've ever had.

Ohiosweetheart 07-16-2006 04:04 AM

Hostww.net. I've been with them for 10 months and am very happy.

kobescoresagain 07-17-2006 09:56 PM

I would without a doubt not recommend 1&1 hosting. Although one of the largest hosts out there, they are also trash. I have heard that a company called asmallorange or something like that is pretty good, also heard good things about host gator and hostww.net although I haven't dealt with them

bigcurt 07-17-2006 10:06 PM

I would give www.site5.com a try, I think their hosting is fairly premium and nice support system.
