    • I apologize for the lack of updates on this style. I have been unbelievably busy with the holidays and work. On top of that, my license expired and I was not able to upgrade my versions. ;) However, I have just renewed my license and I will be updating to 3.7.x. It is unlikely that I will be making a new style for 3.6.x. Feel free to make updates yourselves.

    • So I've had a lot of people asking me to update the style. Fine. The least people can do for my time in keeping this style updated is click the install button. Is it too much to ask? >_< Those that already have, thank you. I'll be slowly adding the different style over the next 24 hours.
  • Dec 15, 2006
    • A lot of people have been asking me to make a version for 3.6.4. Please note that the 3.6.3 version will work perfectly fine on 3.6.4 because I do not have any direct template modifications. Everything is edited via the css. I will make one, but I just haven't gotten to it as I've been really busy with work. I'll try to do it this weekend when I get a chance.

    • Added an update for the newest version of vBulletin, 3.6.3. Enjoy and let me know if anything's wrong.
  • Oct 6, 2006
    • Took awhile, but I got it updated. There were no major changes made, but at least it matches the latest version of vBulletin. Enjoy.
  • Sep 25, 2006
    • Over the past couple of weeks, I have seen dozens of websites who wear Kirsch and have removed the copyright notice. Andrew and myself have put a lot of time into this style and simple request that the copyright remain where it is. If I continue to see websites that have removed it, I will no longer offer Kirsch or Kirsch updates publicly. I ask that all websites found that have removed the copyright be PM'd to me. Thank you.

    • Kirsch has been completely updated to vBulletin 3.6.0 Gold. New styles for both fluid and fixed forums are available for download.
  • Jul 21, 2006
    • I have added two xmls for Release Candidate 2; fluid and fixed. This should help fix any template errors.
  • Jun 16, 2006
    • Initial release for 3.6.0 Beta 2.

Sweet!

projectego 06-17-2006 02:53 PM

Nice port, thanks. :)

evenmonkeys 06-17-2006 06:40 PM

I did a complete port of this style so please let me know if it's all there. I didn't copy/paste anything; I completely entered in all of the information again into the current style. I'm sure it's all there, but just want to make sure.

I will continue to port it that way until they have released a stable version of vBulletin 3.6.x. Glad you all like it.

Nevermind my mistake!

Brandon Sheley 06-24-2006 03:22 PM

very nice on the eyes..

good job :)

Jim O 06-28-2006 01:45 PM

Very nice. Installed on a new forum running 3.6 beta 3. Now all I need are some members. :p

CyberSpatium 07-03-2006 01:34 AM

that is an excellent skin :)

Neal-UK 07-12-2006 10:10 PM

will it work on 3.6 rc1?

yes it will

evenmonkeys 07-13-2006 01:03 AM

I see no reason that it would not work. In any case, I'll be sure to completely create a copy of Kirsch from scratch and I'll make the switch as soon as it's ready.

ericgtr 07-21-2006 04:19 PM

I'm not sure if this skin is the cause but on 3.6 RC1 I get a lot of Page Cannot Be Displayed errors and have to reload. This is on a clean install with no other modifications, I will switch back to my default skin and test to make sure it's nothing else but I didn't see any others reporting this issue at vbulletin.com.

evenmonkeys 07-21-2006 06:25 PM

Hmm. I'll make a fresh style on RC2 and upload the xml. I should have that done by this afternoon.

evenmonkeys 07-21-2006 06:58 PM

So I did this a lot sooner than I thought I would. I have added the RC2 xml files and I have also updated the lastpost.gif image in the button folder. It was messing up the announcement row. Not anymore. =D

Thanks, I've updated and I'll report back. :)

guatdad 07-21-2006 11:37 PM

Im probably gonna sound like an idiot here, but Im getting a bunch of ? where the images SHOULD be. Is there anything I needed to do to get these images in there? Images are like new post/ no new post, etc. Things like that.

evenmonkeys 07-22-2006 03:26 AM

Are your images located at: www.quatmoms.com/forums/images/kirsch ? That's the only thing I can think of. Otherwise, it should be working.

cheesegrits 07-22-2006 10:23 PM

Austin,

First, thank you for a wonderful style. I'm usually a dark style kinda guy (Black Widow being my usual default), having never found a light style that works for me. But since discovering Kirsch (thanks to www.siradrian.com), I've been using it more and more. And my users really like it. So thanks for the style, and for continuing to maintain it. It really is sad the number of styles I've had to drop during my 3.6 upgrade just for lack of continued development. So I was very glad to see the 3.6 update for Kirsch.

Anyway, my question. Will the RC2 XML's overwrite any changes I have made to the Common Templates?

-- hugh

evenmonkeys 07-22-2006 10:34 PM

They should not. The only templates that are specifically modified are the header and footer templates. All other templates are vB default. In any case, I'd strongly recommend that you at least make a backup of the style as you have it now just in case. Usually when I say something bad won't happen, something does. Haha. I don't believe you'll have any problems.

If ya do, let me know and I can help you fix anything you need help with concerning the templates.

vBulletin 3.6.0 version ?

realraptor 08-04-2006 07:04 PM

<i>*/me anxiously waits for a 3.6.0 version after trying it on 3.5.4*</i>

soletrader 08-05-2006 09:23 AM

Will you be releasing a version 3.6.0 ? What exactly is RC2?

ahsidky 08-05-2006 10:20 AM

I like this style since 3.5.4 and I used it in my forum.
I installed this one today on the 3.6.0 Gold and it is working without any problems.
I also translated to Arabic meaning it is (rtl). I only edit the buttons and some images to Arabic and upload the .xml file as it is from the cp, I didn't have to change anything and every thing is working very good in Arabic and your copy rights are there of course.
Thanks for this nice style.

soletrader 08-06-2006 01:25 PM

Installed! the greatest skin ever. By the way how would I take the scrolling option at the bottom left where users can change the skin?

evenmonkeys 08-06-2006 09:29 PM

I'll create a new style for 3.6.0 later tonight. I just got back from vacation and that drive wore me out. =D

soletrader 08-07-2006 11:39 AM

possible bug for 3.6 gold. the signature will not show and the names are above the post not below it. would you know what is causing the problem? thanks

The problem you're having doesn't sound like it'd be from Kirsch. I do not modify the postbits at all. Check to see if your Legacy is turned on in the Styles & Settings. Then check to see if you allow signatures. With vBulletin, there's nearly a way to turn on and off everything you see. =D

Kirsch has been completely updated to vBulletin 3.6.0 Gold. New styles for both fluid and fixed forums are available for download.

Brandon Sheley 08-07-2006 08:55 PM

thx for the update :)

mine was working just fine, but I'll go ahead and upload the new XML..

thanks :)

evenmonkeys 08-08-2006 02:23 AM

It's still there. I just made it not look bad. =D
