IpInfo -- Extra user IP information

IpInfo is a replacement for the standard 'view users ip' option in
vBulletin. Normally when you click on the view ip button in a user's post
you'll only see his or hers ip address and host name.

With ipInfo you'll get more information. Besides the ip address and host
name you will also see what other users have posted with the same ip
address. That feature can be really good for spotting clones.

Another thing ipInfo will show you is what other ips this user has posted
with and how many times. Could be useful when you want to ban all of the
ips of a user and not just the one of that post.

FAQ / Updates Post.

Easy Update:
- Update XML product
- replace the file on the server.

Settings:
AdminCP => vBulletin Options => Message Posting and Editing Options
- IP Info
- IP Info Access

I had the 3.5 version already installed on my board before I upgraded it and after upgrading, the 3.5 version still works.

Correct.
There is a problem on new installs of vb3.6 not upgrades.

That depends on what you mean by conflict. The two can coincide with a bit of fiddling. There is no 3.6 version of proxy-to-real-ip yet - tho you can use the 3.5 version if you understand what you are doing.

Actually - since ipinfo now has a built in setting, I may be able to adapt proxy-to-real-ip to recognise that this is installed and do the fiddling automatically, esp as I haven't released the 3.6 version.

I'm upgrading from the old IPinfo and 3.5, so do I also need to re-upload the .php file or hasn't that changed? Also, I assume "Overwrite" should be checked when importing the product?

What changes have been made with the 3.6 version, was it just to fix the "new" installs bug or?

I just upgraded to 3.6.0 from 3.5.4. and my proxy-to-real-ip detector hack doesn't work any more.
Everyone who has posted since the upgrade has the red icon and it says "proxy IP" in the message box.
Is this something I can fix, or is there a new version for 3.6.0?

This is what it says in the message box.

Maybe I have to delete it and re-install it again?
I didn't do anything with it when I upgraded to 3.6.0, I just upgraded with it in place.

I didn't modify my class_core.php file, so I'm going to take a wild guess and say that is probably the reason why it doesn't work right.

Good guess, that's exactly why. FYI, there is a 3.6 version of the proxy hack that detects if this mod is installed. :)

I have installed yet it still shows the default information...
I have done the template edit. Checked twice!!

I installed it, but doesn't seem to be working right, using version 3.6 final release.

What I got on each post is like # 2 then report bad post icon, then full ip address displayed, nothing clickable that will take you to anything for more ip info. Is there a setting not setup right ??

im having same problem as before the ip info only showing under MY name no one else if i login someone else's name (admin) can see their ip info but no one else

When you install this hack i think you can`t do that like me.
You will set permission to allow IP Info to be seen only by Admins. but, no thing change for Permission .

this happened with me and i Waiting The solution.

Very nice idea for this mod, but I cannot seem to get this one to work, I only see the standard IP address when viewing.

Installed on vb 3.61
Edit the Postbit_IP as per docs
Installed the XML file.
added the ipinfo.php file into my forums directory

Any ideas?

Added the code and tried that and still not working for me at all, just the general IP info shows. Any one have any ideas to why this does not work.

I redownloaded the file and uninstalled the code and reinstalled, anded the usergroup Id code and nothing shows. Oh well will wait and see what the experts here can do.
