You need to enter a short description of your nominated forum and provide us with a clickable link if you want members to easily see your forum :)

And the forum should be viewable to the public.
That is, not requiring registering.

My team and I have been working hard to bring top-notch end user experience since we our new approach in early April (the actual board has been up since December). Our discussion forums relate to one of the newest teen internet craze, massive multiplayer online chatting communities, such as Habbo Hotel.

Thank you for your nomination and a detailed description. :)

I shall nominate mine, myetalk.com.

We are a online discussion website mainly based on music and general discussion. We have gone through several make-overs but we think this one will be the best on the long run.

Forum: Photo Sharing Forum

I would like to nominate Photo Sharing Forum because I think it is one of the best I have seen with a very nice look and feel. I also think that the entire site is very useful and interesting. It seems to be a fairly new site, but I think it has great potential. I've spent a few days searching for vBulletin sites, and this one stuck out to me.

Princeton 06-07-2006 01:12 AM

the photo sharing site looks great

You are currently in the BOTM contest at vb.com for June and have been in one other already this year...seems a little odd that you would be running it over here and nominating yourself while in an active contest...can anyone say "conflict of interest"?

To answer your "conflict of interest", I like contests and competitions, the contest over at vb.com is something fun and interesting, but unfortunaetly there community is not as active as on here. Which is why I wanted this implemented on vb.org to get more competition going, and am I not allowed to nominate my own board like any other member or staff? :D

smacklan 06-07-2006 01:31 AM

If the admins here have no issue with it, then neither do I. I was never for running a BOTM contest over here and no vote was taken on whether it should or shouldn't be implemented, it was just pushed by you and one other. Seems to me you are mighty eager for a win and have decided you have better odds over here than there....just my 2 peso's

Wow, this is funny. Let's not go any further on the purpose, might want to start a thread in the Site Feedback if you have any PUBLIC questions concerning the BotM. ;)

vBHackers.com

I would like to nominate vBHackers.com. I used to own this site, and I think that this site is a great resource for all vBulletin Board owners and Admins alike. Great style, and the staff & members there are all very wonderful people.

Stangsta 06-07-2006 02:28 AM

Bah...what the hell:D

I guess I'll nominate mine. www.sevencityforums.com

Its a local site geared towards the local community of Hampton Roads, Virginia. It is a general off-topic forum with a hint of social networking built in. It has been around since November 2005 and have earned 2400+ members since (not bad for a local forum). It is feature packed, yet simple. We had a CMS, but decided to remove it because it really was not used, people would just click through it and ignore the content for the most part. Its one of those forums that one would appreciate if you dig into it a bit. Registration is not necessary to read the forums or profiles, but some features do require registration. Please do not register on the site just to view something that is inaccessable. One thing im proud of is the tour located on the front page, take a look and tell me what you think. :)

Someone care to second my nomination? :bunny:

The Chief 06-07-2006 02:31 AM

Great boards you two got, good luck! :D

Gio~Logist 06-07-2006 02:49 AM

I second, third, fourth, and fifth www.vBHackers.com

Now back on topic :p

niels999 06-07-2006 04:48 AM

I want to nominate: http://www.vbhackers.com/
It's simply a very very good site for vbulletin resources, the previous owner LiveWire is a really good guy, he was dedicated to make vbhackers the best place to be. Also the new owner Rex is great, he's friendly and likes to maintain the forum. All the staff is nice and helps and gives support when you need it :) Be sure to check it out, it's a great friendly vbulletin resource place!

(All vote vbh!)

Freesteyelz 06-07-2006 09:49 AM

It's cool to see you guys/gals got the BOTM up and running. Good luck to all those who've entered. :)

COBRAws 06-07-2006 09:54 AM

Site owners shouldnt be nominating their boards. Its a conflict of interests too IMO.

Freesteyelz 06-07-2006 10:12 AM

I don't see anything wrong with self-nominations. To be in the running anyway it has to have a second nomination. My only reservation to it (at this time) is that the second nomination is by an independent person who's not associated with the site being nominated.

In any case, think of the BOTM as a way to showcase your site. :)

Deaths 06-07-2006 10:28 AM

I fourth vBHackers.com. :)

LiveWire has put more effort into both this community and vBHackers.com than anyone else I know (don't take offense please, anyone :p), and the board simply has some awesome features.

Site owners who also happen to be running the contest...definately a conflict of interest as I pointed out earlier.

Freesteyelz 06-07-2006 10:49 AM

I agree. When I had posted (#29) I did not realize one of the BOTM staff nominated his own board. While I chose not to be on the BOTM team I highly suggest that (this) person removes his entry for the validity and ethics of the contest.

tgreer 06-07-2006 02:02 PM

Yep, I vote for vbhackers as well. It's everything, well... that this place should be.

Princeton 06-07-2006 02:05 PM

nominating your own board doesn't mean you will win ... ultimately, the winner is decided by the majority

EvilHawk 06-07-2006 02:17 PM

[high]* EvilHawk wonders: muttering and mumbling around about vb.org and then nominating your forum is a conflict of interests or not?[/high]

michaelbenson 06-07-2006 02:22 PM

I'd like to nominate http://www.vbseo.com/. Now i know this is a forum based on a commerical modification, but the modification itself is not the reason i am nominating the board (and i hope the staff can look past this too), moreso the excellent community spirit and support provided there why i would like to nominate http://www.vbseo.com/ as a Board of the Month :)

Of course, everything is judged equally. Remember, we are two to be accepting the nominations also to make sure "if" we get some misjudgements in any way or another, we will be able to discuss about them.

Good luck for vB Hackers, you guys seem to have alot of support!

rex_b 06-07-2006 02:56 PM

I nominate vbulletin.org , they have been a great resource to me and my forums for some time now.

Ntfu2 06-07-2006 02:57 PM

I agree BOTM isnt directly appointed by The Chief and I. We simply organize it, and the Members are the ones who have the final descision on whats BOTM and what isnt so there really shouldnt be to much of a problem nominating your self or your own boards.

Alot of entries so far, lets keep up the good work ;)
