I was going through some of my old templates I had released and came across this theme. It's called simpleYB. It's just a basic yellow and blue template. I was asked to update this to 3.5.x some time ago, but I'm just getting some free time from projects now.

Unfortunetly, I don't have any of the psd's so whatever is in the zip is what I have. (I found a blank button image on my server :) )


So, after I clean out my closet, I can move forward on making many new themes!

I have forgotten how to remove the logo at the top though, can anyone jog my memory please?

Also please can you tell me whats happeded on mine, please see www.bashys-place.com/forums theres a block on the left to change the style
please check out this style and let me know whats up with it please so that maybe someone can sort a fix? i do like it and would like to use this 1 :)

To change the logo:
Style Manager >> All Style Options >> Header

or

Style Manager >> Edit Templates >> Header

Hmm... nice looking skin overall. I think the yellow clashes with the blue a bit, but overall really nice style :)

Damn...dont know whay that block aint working, its enabled for guests :( oh well..i have added an image...

Basically it starts off ok then about 2 forums down it goes blank (just the yellow) and all the rest of the forums are as it shows in the image :(

Just guessing here, but it could be all the extras you have installed interfering with the style....

You might try reverting the forumhome template and forumdisplay templates (copy the original to a notepad and see if there is something extra to add back like a "top" or bottom" ) ... If you can post a link to that style it would help because then we can view the code... Perhaps make it a child style... ;)

Switch styles on your site (to that style from another) and it should say something like www.Yoursite/?styleid=73 in the address bar. Copy that and post it here for Serenity. :)

I just tried that in another browser but it didnt change the style lol...
Its now meant to be set so the users can select the style, but i cant
see the default style chooser at the bottom of the forum...

Sommats a miss :(

The sidebard is breaking the style...

In this case I personally would copy the Forum Home Template and Forum Display Template onto a notepad and save them on the desktop... then make this style a child style of your default, go in and revert all the templates. Then open the two files and look through them to find the custom category headers ect to add them back. There might be other ways of doing this but like I say it's the sidebar that's messing it up not the style itself....

Cheers for the info, albeit its the 1st time this has happend, i have installed about 20 diff styles since joining here and none have actually gone like this.

Like you say it must be something about the portal (side blocks) that the style
dont like..... I dont want to break anything so i think i will leave this as it is :o

yep! it's definately the sidebar hack that was installed that is breaking the style

It aint a sidebar hack...its the portal i use, i dont have any issues with any other style that i have tried, only yours im afraid :(

I would be more than happy to do the template edits for you if you wanted and make it work for you. If you want to set me up an account and shoot me a PM, I'll get to it in my free time this week.

This is very nice :) , theres not many very nice yellow based styles but this is certainly a very good one.

Will this be updated for 3.6 ?
