Anyone Run Track, XC, or just run for fun or fitness?
I just wanted to know how many of you web people actually do some running and fitness stuff outside of all the web work.
I personally run quite a bit, I am in mid-season shape for the track team that I am on and am currently running at 2:07 for 800m and 54.4 for the 400m. What do you run and why do you do it? To get in shape, or just for fun? |
i run to keep in shape, im not part of my school's track team. i just do it on my own once a day(30-60 min)

I don't do running as fitness stuff, but I do do it on the treadmill just to keep healthy, but not to lose weight or anything, i mostly do weight training

I run for fitness every night, but I'm not apart of a team or anything.

I play soccer, but I go running once a week or so for fun. Next year I'm going to try and go every morning (spring/summer).

I just feel that running is so soothing and it really allows you to relax and take your mind off of things.
As we can see already, many different people run for many different reasons. And that is GREAT! |
I just love being outside in the spring! Next year I won't be playing soccer anymore, so fitness will be a huge factor for me.

Same case for me as SirAdrian, I play soccer too so I pretty much run every morning.

I don't have a fall sport, but was thinking about soccer, but I think it would be hard to get into as a senior, probably would need some experience to make the team.

The healthier you are, the more attractive you are to women too. So keep that in mind.

I don't do any formal exercise but I.. try.. to stay healthy. I don't have any weight issues so.. but still its no excuse not to do any exercise. |

the only work out i get is chasing my kids around,cleaning etc,and play ball outside if the weather is nice

I ran my first triathelon yesterday, it was a cold day and the water was freezing; but it was an enjoyable new experience. I'm not sure if I'll keep doing them, I wasn't prepared for the chaos of the swim, but I worked hard to prepare and all my times were what I was expecting....

I run distance track and cross country! Hope, Do you run for your school's 4x8 team? While I didn't for mine this year (concentrated on 2mi, but got hit up by patellar tendonitis mid-season so, uh, ouch)(we got a few new kids to run it and DAMN is all I'm gonna say - Norwin is headed to states for sure with this squad :D). Anyhow, good luck come XC! |
I used to take part in long distance/marathons back in my school years, now I jog atleast 5 miles a day to keep the heart ticking over.

With this beautiful weather, it is very hard to stay focused on any sites or work right now, just gotta get outside enjoy the sun and run!
I love the warm weather and the feel of being in-shape and tan for those ladies. @Bluestrike2, Yes, I do run for my school's 4x8 team... Right now we have 2 meets left and last meet had our season pr of 8:23. What times is your team hitting? |
