So like did almost all the forums just disappear

I was here about 5 hours ago, everything was fine.

I have returned, and i can no longer see any modification forum from the forum home page

anyone else have this problem, or did i get banned from them for some reason? :surprised:

Xenon 05-02-2006 06:23 PM

take a look at the navbar :p

Ntfu2 05-02-2006 06:25 PM

I see the mod link now, thank you.

Just wondering if there is any rhyme or reason to this, or if its just something random?

Xenon 05-02-2006 06:27 PM

well, yeah there is a reason for this

a lot of users are not able to read forum desciptions, and therefore moving the modifications out of forum home should prevent a lot of wrong posted threads

and we are still preparing more :)

Jon. 05-02-2006 06:28 PM

I just had this problem too

Interesting idea. Not sure if i like it or not, but it's fancy :p

Xenon 05-02-2006 06:31 PM

believe me, you'll get used to.

the mods have this point of view for nearly a month now, and apart from the first two days everything is smooth :)

Is this going to be the extent of the Hack DB? I thought there were going to be bug trackers and nifty stuff like that?

hambil 05-02-2006 07:20 PM

I like it.

This is reason enough for myself.

Thanks

Chris M 05-02-2006 07:49 PM

This is not the hack DB - This is a temporary movement of the forums to a seperate page until the hack DB is completed ;)

And here I thought I was able to be drunk without actually having to take a drink. Oh well. :D

Good Job

*grabs a beer.*

Awesome. Glad to hear. :)

Code Monkey 05-02-2006 08:33 PM

The mod page would be nicer if you had maybe, the latest 15 or 20 releases instead of 5. You could put them in a scrollable div. That would be more usefull when a lot of releases come out on busy days.

It strikes me as odd that among the top coders and top designers, only zero-tolerance is also in the top hotm winners category.

Seems like this either underscores issues with hotm (already under descusion in numerous threads) or in the way the stats are being generated.

As a side note though, I appreciate the coder stats, and the other work going on to improve this board, and am really not trying to nit-pick things to death :)

Xenon 05-03-2006 12:05 PM

@Kerry-Anne: well, there are some templete edits which affect every style ;)

@Hambil: i am currently reworking the Hotm, just give me a bit time :)

Thanatos 05-05-2006 04:20 PM

Will the modifications used to split the forums up be released here? :D

utw-Mephisto 05-05-2006 04:35 PM

Although I was confused too, I like it :)

you dont need one

go to your forum manage, set the display order to 0 for the category, and then set up the link like you want to point to that category

pretty simple

Paul M 05-05-2006 06:37 PM

or just set "Forum is Active" to no .......

SixteenOhNine 05-05-2006 07:12 PM

You may want to check that link :). When viewing the modifications, the last post information is missing one row and isn't aligned correctly. If needed, I'll post a screenshot when I get home.
