vbTA Member Profiles
 

This is a hack under development that will change 100% your forum's member profiles! It combines many other hacks already seen on vb.org and some new hacks never seen here (Member popularity hack, Hot or Not rating System.

1- vbTA Member Profiles are very organized and easy to use and edit (for admins and members)
2- Members can edit fields and info while browsing their profiles!!!
3- Ajax tabs. Extreme profiles are very organized in a way, helping members to add as much information they want, and still be able to keep a clean look on their profiles.
4- Different default designs, icons, colors for member profiles based upon gender (male/female)

Also we are thinking to include a hack (still working on this specific hack) that will add a flash radio player on each member profile!

Will you be able to disable what hacks you don't want to show up?

Currently we have it running on 3 different boards to test out functionality and possible bugs... One thing i can tell for sure... Members are loving it :)

Well we did put our effort to finish this asap, but still we have to look for bugs before releasing ... but it wont be nothing like vbspace

The hack wont be released yet, until i get in touch with Shane. He did some of the coding for me for the memberinfo, and i have to be sure if its ok with him to use some parts of his work

We havent updated to the last version...This is just the first stage of the Member Profiles :)

I figure someone will release their myspace profile thing first before vbspace just like what happen to ushop. Glad to see that you guys are allowing people to see a demo site instead of making it some type of government top secret thing or tease people..

I really like the tabbed feature/look. The roll over on the pictures friends is neat too. Looking forward to this. Thanks for showing us a working version instead of screenshots.

Oh one other thing.. whats the TA in vbTA stand for ?

i was wondering if i could share some ideas with you guys, maybe something you might look into putting on, or tweaking.

- Adding interests on the same page as profile, just below it.
- Removing latest threads from profile, and create a MyForum tab(or w/e you want to call it) and in that tab add, favourite threads, latest threads etc. (those hacks that are on here that relate to the forum)
- in the shouts section, using the profile image instead of the avatar (but then again anyone could just change the code there for that matter) and below it add the name, location and online/offline. (and if possible, remove the edit/delete links unless it's your profile)
- in crazy box, make that the blog, where the latest blogs hack would be.
- then add another tab for "my trophy case" and add the awards hack, as well as the v3arcade trophies in as well.
- also adding the .htaccess that was used on myspace profile re-write pro to allow users to have a www.forum.com/username link

then again some of these have prob. already been done or thought of, in case they haven't, I think those would be really cool :D

Yep another dead hack, seen lots on them lately.. Cant understand if you cant deliver dont promiss :tired:

One thing i have noticed since the upgrade of vbulletin to 3.6, and that is the lack of understanding involved with the change's made to that version. I personally have been trying to acquire info on this, and it has become very frustrating.
If you ask at vbulletin.com, you get told to go to vbulletin.org since you are trying to change the vbulletin from it's natural form.
I even tried asking at another unnamed forum today, about these changes, the told me to go to vbulletin and ask, i reasked......went back to the unnamed forum, showed them my reply from vbulletin, only to recieve Which in turn ended in my getting a lifetime banning from said site........and this r937, is supposed to be a database guru.....but yet he too sent me away.....

after awhile, (right now actually), a young coder in the growing, become's so disgusted with answer's like these, it is easier just to walk away and wait for someone more familiar with the vbulletin writter's to release hack's.
Which in the end, may start costing people to use, instead of being able to show what you have created and share that with others.

Is this mod still in the works?
