About this hack:
This hack allows you to set what usergroup external.php gets permissions from. This is a great hack for administrators who don't allow guests to view their forum. Using this hack you can set what usergroup it should get permissions from. I'm sure your users want RSS feeds!

Administrators who allow guests to view their forum but with barley any permissions, this hack will also help you.

Ever heard of RSS feeds? vB outputs for your forum but using the guest permissions. This hack lets you use any usergroup.

oh i see, i couldn't never understand how the rss feeds work..:surprised:which that is ashame..lol...hey i'm a noob:D i went to a site about rss feed and was stuck on stupid so left it alone..:D

Nice hack. It could be even better if instead of setting which usergroup it used it looked for the VB cookie and used the permissions based on the user registered. You used to be able to comment a line out in external.php to make it do this but it's not possible anymore. If you don't have a VB cookie i.e. your not a registered user it just basis the permissions on a guest login. This hack would be awesome if it could do that :D - No pressure though... I would donate if it was made to work like this for sure.
