One of the previous ones of these didnt work on several styles, so would this work on most?

DJ XtAzY 04-24-2006 02:59 PM

I tried that one before but it's pretty limited and there is a problem with commas in sub-forum's titles. If you wish to use that hack you must remove all commas from sub-forums titles. This bug was reported in original thread but never fixed.

jdebler 04-24-2006 04:53 PM

I didn't tried it with other styles and I guess it will not work on some of them because authors removed references which this plugin uses. Sorry, this is impossible to make that work with all styles.

Snake 04-25-2006 12:12 PM

Excellent!

Can you give us some idea of why this doesn't work? I don't mind making changes to a template to support this, I just need to know where to look.

Thanks!

Killraven 04-25-2006 04:11 PM

Is there any way to show a new post indicator on the forum homepage when new posts have been made?

This is not the right place to ask

Before installation:
-Go to AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Forum Listings Display Options > Depth of Sub-Forums - Set this to "1"
What happens to the rest of the sub-forums below 1 level? Are they being shown with this hack?
Thank you.

shadowdancer36 04-26-2006 11:52 AM

Works fine for me! INSTALLED

it looks like mine is doing that already (it shows a gold, or a blue icon next to each sub-forum).

FLMom 04-26-2006 04:52 PM

That has to be the easiest freakin thing I have ever installed LOL WTG!! Thank you so much!

serhat_kk 04-26-2006 07:57 PM

propz...installed...

how do i remove "," comas ?

FLMom 04-26-2006 08:17 PM

I didn't even notice the comma's until now lol

Robert Basil 05-10-2006 08:21 AM

Does not for work me either. Bummer as I would love to be able to use this. Which variables does this hack use so those of us with custom templates can add them back to our templates?

Valter 05-10-2006 06:41 PM

Check if you have these two templates with "," in them:
forumhome_subforumseparator_post
forumhome_subforumseparator_nopost

If you wish you can manually replace comma with this:
, <if condition="$vboptions['cybsubforumarranger_enable']">Cybernetec</if>

oldford 05-15-2006 04:04 AM

Thanks for this.

A small item...When this hack is installed the sub-forum font size gets slightly bigger. The sub-forum links should be surrounded by <div class="smallfont" style="margin-top:6px"> but I think the tables your hack adds loses that info. Is there a quick way to add that back?

PennylessZ28 05-15-2006 04:48 PM

Thats a good hack, and a lot easier than the other methods which are far more involved.

I am also as inquisitive.

Delazar 05-27-2006 07:07 AM

I would allso be interested in reducing the type size.

Giray 05-29-2006 05:52 PM

Same here. Font size :tired:

Valter 05-29-2006 10:41 PM

v1.3 - May 30. 2006.
-Added ability to use original font size for subforums titles (requested)

See updated ACP screenshot.

Lady Divus 05-29-2006 11:43 PM

Cybernetec, could you please tell me how to take out the comma at the end of each subforum title?...It is an awesome hack but the little white comma is clashing with my sub forum titles...I think it would be nicer without it...Thank you for your help in advance. Be well -

Lady Divus

FLMom 05-30-2006 12:33 AM

Good question, I would like to know as well :D
Thanks for the hard work!

Valter 05-30-2006 01:38 AM

v1.4 - May 30. 2006.
-Added ability to hide commas (shown after every subforum title except the last one) - requested

Note: If upgrading from version 1.3 or older please uninstall existing version first!

Cybernetec, thank you for the new Update, however, it didnt take out all the commas, only the last comma, but i figured out how to take them all out.

I went into,
AdminCP/Styles & Templates/Cybernetec Templates/cyb_subforum_arranger
And simply back spaced off the little comma (,) at the very beginning of the string. That worked for me if anyone else needs to know.

Again, thank you so very much Cybernetec for this hack. It is one of my favorites...Be well -

Lady Divus

Valter 05-30-2006 02:20 AM

It was just wrong phrase in options. "hide" instead of "show" LOL
Please revert template and install v1.5 with correct phrase. I also maked some improvements in the main code.

v1.5 - May 30. 2006.
-Fixed little bugs (phrase, variable)

oldford 05-30-2006 03:12 AM

Ummm...Cyber I think you got your hack updates mixed up. :) The zip I see for this hack is titled, "Cyb Prevent Newbies from Posting to Wrong Forum 1.5.zip"

Giray 05-30-2006 03:59 AM

Wrong hack indeed :surprised:

Valter 05-30-2006 04:08 AM

You are right LOL

Changed.

Sorry, I'm little tired.
