Hey guys and gals...

We started out as ninjaTurtlesNetwork.com, and now we are http://www.twelveoclock.net We concentrate on fun media and hollywood stories, with nothing too serious or depressing.

One of the things I need to know is, why my image logo and frappr map appear differently in Firefox and IE. I want them side by side, not one on top of the other. It appears side by side in Firefox, but one under the other in IE.

I'm also wondering what people think of the forum organization and color layout. We have people visiting, wich is good, but not too many people posting since we made the switch, wich is bad..feels kind of lonely :).

Yeah that header is very weird. o_O

And a lot of your images don't work.

The scheme is a bit overwhelming and bright too, strong blue and that reddish colour don't go well together.

Hmm, What colors would you suggest?

I fixed the header so they appear side by side in both browsers. I wanted a sense of the site being updated, so I used a random image generator along with our site logo at the top. I used the frapper map to even it out abit....

What changes would you suggest I make to the header image? I had to shrink all the images down, so they would fit on a 1024X768 screen size, so they might have lost some image clarity..

Here is a list of things:

The header is gigantic and obtrusive. No need for such a large banner. IT doesn't tell me what your board name is or what your board is about. Movies? LAte night with david letterman? cartoons?

The colors:

I can't see msot of the links. Try making things a little more nuetral. I changed the color scheme, let me know what you think. And you're right, the image dosn't really convey what the site is all about. I know an artist friend of mine who's quite talented, and I'm going to see if he can get done an idea I have in mind for a logo.....

Its a start, but there isn't anything really good about the style, nothing really unqiue. Try using some color gradients. :)

And the banner is still there.

It does look better but, You should give some thought about installing one of the free styles offered HERE or at least get rid of that header.... (sorry but it's true.. it looks bad...)

most of your images are x'ed out for me. and that banner has got to go. lol.

What images arn't showing up? Everything looks good here..

And apart from the images in the forum, the only two there are the frapper map and header.

I put in a temp logo. I can change it for a new joke, or a new look each time with different images....This is untill I get the new 2D image created by someone, unless folks like this idea..

Images on main page not showing up and the Twelveoclock Map Group Map at bottom of forums looks an eyesore tbh but thats my opinion

OK folks, please let me know what images, aside from the smileys, arn't showing up.....It dosn't help if I don't notice what you are seeing..

try looking at the site as a guest in IE...you will see them that way whereas you won't with browsers like FF or Opera.

ahh, I see what you mean! I noticed that latley on a bunch of updates I did to my main hosting website. Why would they appear perfectly in firefox, and not in IE, or vice versa? Any easy way to fix that?

FF and Opera just don't show the "red x". IE is still the dominate browser on the Internet. Right click on each missing image and view properties. You will see where the code says the image is supposed to be then make sure it is there.

Ahh, that got it. When I switched over the forum to the /Forum/ directory, it didn't update the links. I just assumed when I upgraded the Vbulliten to the latest version, the buttons whern't a part of it.

That's what I get for switching over to firefox for all my machines, heh. Thanks for the heads up :) So, apart from the Temporary logo, and Frapper map, how do the forums look to everyone now? :)

Well, the organization of the forums looks okay...no too many and laid out well. I'm not a big fan of the graphics, but we all have to start somewhere ;)

Well, thanks to a fellow .orger who contributed the twelveoclock.net word graphic, I added to it and created the new logo. What does everyone think of it?

now that we've got this straightend out, the only thing remaining is to get people talking...wich seems to be the hard part.

hmm I'm sorry if this may sound harsh, but your site looks anything but entertaining. The current colors set a very cold mood for a site that has a purpose to entertain others. You got good content, but your style is not doing any good to it. I mean I got bored just looking at the layout, you know what I mean?

I would recommend a few things, one, try to use warmer colors, add a bit nicer style to your site overal. A better header and a logo would be nice too. Have some contrast in your font colors, your links, text and everything are all almost the same color.

Als your 2 links at the side in the homepage still link to your "betaforums", thought I should let you know ;)

I'm sorry I usually don't respond this way, but I though I should be honest with you about what I think and get my points out. However, this is just my opinion and everyone has different opinion. Don't be discouraged, we all have to start from somewhere :)
