Clicksor revenue sharing hack

Description:
- Revenue sharing program gives more motivation and the feeling of belonging to the members of the forum.
- This hack allows forum members to display their Clicksor ads among the thread/posts they participated.
- User only needs to enter their Clicksor ID in the edit profile in order to get their ads showing in the thread/post.
- The percentage of the showing admin/user's ads is customizable.
- Number of min. post in order to show the ads is customizable.

Instruction:
The full instruction is included in the readme.txt file

Here's a general walkthrough:
1. upload a php file
2. Add 2 new user profile fields, and mark down the field name
3. update the forum template
4. Edit and Upload showthread.php
5. Import the XML file in the adminCP

Looks interesting.. now all I've got to do is set up some ads on my site ;)

I like the idea. Anyone know if they'd be a pain about allowing something like this to be implemented?

how hard would this be to convert to adsense?

Also can you make it where it advertises people to sign up to clicksor with your referal id?

This isn't allowed. The user has to have the site approved etc.

does it only do it for the thread starter and not everyone who replies to the thread?

Should that not be: Upload to the includes/eml directory? ;)

This was my concern, too, though I assume it would be fairly easy for them to add the site. Of course, if there are 100 people showing up for the same site I'd wonder whether that would cause an issue.

It's a great hackk..

But majority of users are using Google Adsense. So please extend the hack to adsense too..

All you need to do is make available two variables, $Adsense-ClientID & $Adsense-ChannelID, in templates..

One more Question: The 50% of time the posters ad will be shown. The remaining 50% time how'll the forums own ad'll be diaplayed?

The plugin is not working for an upload.

How about modifying this plugin to work for Google Adsense as well as AdBrite ads? Please? :D

while importing I get Invalid file specified...

This is not a plugin hack - it requires file edits.

Hopefully this is within clicksor tos I have submitted a ticket to ask them as i use clicksor they pay better for me for some reason :S
A great mod if Clicksor allow it.... will let you know the outcome.....

Here's a couple of fixes if the author doesn't mind...

1. Do not import the XML in your admin CP, it wont work. Instead, upload it in ./includes/xml/
2. There's a small bug in the postbit template. When you paste it look at line 9 and 10 in the README.txt(the line are):

   replace the p=144 by your own thread or replace those 2 lines by:

3. In clicksor_share.php, on line 56 there is a small code that gets annoying in your admincp (it echos "hi" everytime), find and remove:

   ---

   echo "hi";
