Info Box - Adsense, Register, and Donations Box (Working Quick Reply)

Nanofied Productions Presents - Info Box Template Mod

In my version of the whole adsense post hack series, I have included a modification that will allow the last post of every thread to be a box including information on things such as registering, donating, and a spot for your google adsense or other ads that is not breaking any TOS.

To do this, add the following code...

In your SHOWTHREAD template.

Then, edit the <ADS AND CONTENT GO HERE> section, and ad anything you want to your info box :)

I personally am using eminimalls in my info box.

If anyone has suggestions, I can try to use them in my product.

Looks promising. I've avoided the "adsense after the last post" thing before, because it messed up the quickreply box. Will try this and see if it solves that problem or not. Thanks.

Yes it could... I just liked it better at the bottom, becasue it wont throw off the users at first. This way they see it after reading your content, andit makes them want to see more.

Would you like me to try and develope it?

i have a question, i dont have a donate option on my site, and i see you're running cloudrunner's hack, but when i look through im scared to install it since it hasnt been updated and people are uninstalling and messing up there forum. did you get this hack to work on your site? or r u using a different one?

It actually was not hard to install his hack, it was just that his instructions were poorly written. It took me maybe 10 minutes to get it installed and working right. I would definately reccomend trying it, and if you are worried about messing it up, just make sure you have some up to date backups of your database and your styles.

for the first bit it worked like a charm, now using quick reply in firefox, when you press Reply, it gets hung up on a white page. I took the code out and it woked perfectly.

this has been an ongoing problem with quite a few of the adsense after first post hacks

Hi there, i got it installed but had to uninstall it as I didnt know how to put a link to the donate and Register button. when I clicked on these, I got "page cannot be displayed and dont know how to change it. thanks,.

you have to install a donate hack of some sort, so they can donate.

for the register link you have to put your own url to your registration page :)

Ok, so I came up with a fix, and also made it slightly better. I made it so that it posts under thefirst post, and nowthe quick reply works :)

Sounds great, and if we want it to stay under the last post (i like that alot) all we have to do is keep the current if statement

Hah lol I just figured it out on my own... it was so simple.

Instead of added a if statment telling it where to post it, I just actually went the the showthread file and added the table and info I needed :)

Ok... I am going to rewrite the mod again for you guys...

Make sure you guys help me out and support my site www.boardingscene.com www.nanofied.com and www.bizlinked.com :), I spent alot of tiem figuring this out.

I am not done yet though lol

It makes it so that they don't have to change any links unless they don't have a donate.php.

Installed works great!

But one thing.

The box is bigger(wider) then my posts, I want it so it is the same size as my posts box.

It is your adsense box... just select a less less wide format, or maybe use a link bar instead.

Any way to make this a plugin?

I'm going to test this out on my test board first and if we decide to go with ads on the site, this is the hack that I will use.

It's nice and clean and doesn't cram ads in the users' faces....

I'm thinking about how I could use this and some sort of revenue sharing hack but only to share the revenue amongst the admins as opposed to all of the user base.
