How many posts do you have and how many do you average daily

Hey,
This is only for forums with 20,000+ posts.

Can you post how many posts your forum has, how many it averages daily and how old it is please?

Thanks!
John

mustang_lex 03-27-2006 02:40 PM

Hey Alex, thanks for replying.

Could you check in your admin panel under the stats and check how much it gets?
Would really appreciate it :)

Thanks

We currently have 92 but we aim to have around 100. That is excluding the designers, article writers, and wiki editors.

I seem to have quite a good amount of registered users visit daily for the activity stat. Glad they don't all come at once. ;) Been live 7 months and always have between 200-350 online at any given time.

Does it have the potential to be a big board?

I think it's a little late in the game for Lost boards but they are also like gold when it comes to Wednesday/Thursday traffic. I manage (well, try to) www.losttv-forums.com and it seems every time we make adjustments or upgrades to allow more users online at once, more just seem to come. We have trouble with 1,500 users online at once, make some adjustments that should allow more, and then we get 1,900+. It seems that we get as many users online at once as the server can handle. If we went to dual servers and could get 3000, I think we would get that.

I like to think that we are at the very least in the top 2 or 3 Lost boards and all of them have trouble on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Some block unregistered users on those two busy days so the less known/busy sites seem to take up the overflow. I am not sure of the state of the UK based Lost board scene but it seems like you could do well.

We are currently migrating over to vB from an old message board system. We do about 1200 posts a day, currently have about 32,000 members.

My Question is for those that have about the same stats and are using vB. How many servers are you running?

Thanks!

Brandon

Erwin 04-28-2006 12:40 AM

25-30k unique visitors a day or a month? Either way, that's quite good.
