Big Bucking Chicken Rant

Burger King has a new commercial out ...
I don't know if you have heard it, but, it goes like this ..

music playing in the background and someone singing
Quote:

"Biiiig buckin' chicken"
over and over

yep, I admit ... I laugh all the time I hear the damn song. It sounds like they are swearing over and over ... ON TV! :D

But now ... I just heard my kids (6 and 8 years) going around the house singing ...

I just don't find it funny any more. :(

You're thinking of Colonel Sanders from KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken.)
The OP is talking about Burger King. Different fast food chain.

Romeos Tune 03-13-2006 02:03 AM

Sure glad you cleared that up Tra...... lol :D

Corriewf 03-13-2006 03:16 AM

That's nucking futs!

The Spicy Chicken Sandwich at Wendy's is better than everything at Burger King combined, excluding the chicken club which is quite tasty.

Both places are expensive compared to the supreme lordship of Taco Bell. They finally brought back the Chicken Caesar Grilled Stuffed Burrito. I must buy them en masse and freeze them for when the cancel it, because the golden rule of Taco Bell is that if a food is good, they will immediately stop offering it.

Me and you eat alike.... Nothing beat Wendy's chicken sandwich.... And like you said, wth is going on with Taco Smell? I love to eat there and they used to be cheat but good lordy they went up in price. They used to give you nachos with your combo and now it a piece of crap taco......

filburt1 03-13-2006 04:44 AM

$0.50 extra for two cups of cheese with the nachos rather than one. And with two I just make it. With one, I run out after five chips (not really, but it goes fast).

I don't go there as often as usual, mainly because I knew it was getting badly addicting when most of the workers there started to recognize me. Plus the drive to Chipotle is annoying with all the lights.

Tony G 03-13-2006 09:38 AM

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese yum

Princeton 03-13-2006 12:25 PM

I can't stand taco shmells. :D
My wife and kids love the stuff.

(If I have to eat it I would.)

lol, too late for me at Taco Bell. I get free/cheaper stuff once in a while, I know the manager (who's out with her new born baby right now) and a majority of the workers. Whenever I walk in with friends, they look at me weird because I end up going into conversations with the workers sometimes.

Blasted thing is roughly three or four blocks down so it's not even that far, and the only other thing close is McDonald's, and I'd rather live to see the next day, you could figure which I go to more often.

Corriewf 03-13-2006 02:44 PM

MMmmm nachos bell grande is the shizznut! Yeah, its either them or Wendys around here after 10 pm. I do not understand why places wont stay open later.... They would make a killing....

I guess they are still better then Arby's!!!! Whatever happened to the 5 for 5 roast beef sandwiches...I can not leave that place without spending over ten bucks now...

Brad 03-13-2006 08:31 PM

I too am a fan of the Wendy's Spicy Chicken Combo, get catsup on mine! :D Only bad thing at Wendy's is the tea, the always give me old tea or unsweet tea...might aswell be water..

I'll brave McDonalds if I'm low on cash, can't beat a double cheese burger + McChicken for $2.14...

KW802 03-13-2006 09:17 PM

For the Wendy's Spicy Chicken Combo (Combo #6 on the menu :p ) be sure to order it with a slice of cheese. Yummm..... :D

Ok I am going to tell you all my top secret order info.....

I normally do not give this kind of ultra 1337 info out but I think you guys are cool....

Ok at Mcdonalds, order two regular hamburgers and a large fry with a medium drink. If you ask for little ice, it is about the same amount of liquid as a large drink. The best part of this order if that its 5 bucks even....NO CHANGE!!!!

With taco bell, the trick is to not order the combo at all. They are rip offs. Actually do not get any drinks. Instead what I normally do is order a burrito supreme with nachos bell grande.... Works out to just under 5 bucks or maybe a little over.... The bottom line is that the drinks are way too expensive to waste money on.

I use the same trick at Wendys, order two regular hamburgers and a large fry with a medium drink... This works out to 4.75 est.

Hardees is crap...Don't even look at them when you drive by....

Crispy Chicken Club from Mcdonalds meal i think beats both wendy's and taco bell :p.

Not to metion that Mcdonalds has the best fries.

filburt1 03-14-2006 01:05 AM

You can get 5.6179775280898876404494382022472 tacos at Taco Bell for $5. Don't try ordering it, though.

KW802 03-14-2006 01:06 AM

Ah... #6 combo for dinner tonight. Was way better than McDonalds. :D

smacklan 03-14-2006 02:53 AM

Yes...the #6 Combo is indeed the best! I will have to try it with cheese. I think it would be perfect with about a 1/2 pound of bacon on it ... mmmm!

Sometimes i wish they had vBulletin UK.. Actually it should be vBulletin America if vBulletin is based in the uk... Where is vBulletin based?

We don't have half the greasy chains that America has and why do you people drive five blocks?!?!!

The burger king adverts are bad... All adverts are bad. except the honda ones and some other cool ones like the HP one and the citroen one... :)

Jelsoft is based in the UK although not all of its employees live there (in fact, I think most don't).

All of the Devs for the most part are in UK. The support staff are mainly USA.

Grease is good for you and the reason we drive is to work on our third chin. ;)

Wendy's Spicy Chicken Combo with cheese, no tomato.... and BBQ sauce?! Oh, man... make it some Bullseye and I'd be there everyday for lunch.

You should write to Wendys with your idea... I think it'd be a hugely popular item.
