Steps to get vbBux/vbPlaza working.
 

1. Go to your admincp --> vbBux --> Manage Settings and go through all the settings here. They are pretty self explanatory. Make sure 'Enable vbBux Points System?' is YES.

2. Go to your admincp --> vbPlaza --> Manage Settings and go through all the settings here. They are pretty self explanatory. Make sure 'Enable vbPlaza System?' is YES.

3. Go to your admincp --> vbPlaza --> Manage Categories. Make sure the categories you want to display in the store are set to yes and click 'Save Settings' at the bottom of the category list. Then edit the categories you will use and make sure you set the 'Allowed Usergroups' to the usergroups that can see that category.

4. Go to your admincp --> vbPlaza --> Manage Items. Make sure the options you want to display in the store are set to yes and click 'Save Settings' at the bottom of the options list. You can also set some of the option settings here also. If you want to override the main category settings for an option you need to edit that option and set 'Override Category Permissions' to YES and select the groups you want to have access. If you don't need to override the main category settings leave this set to NO.

5. Go to your admincp --> Usergroups --> Usergroup Manager. Edit your usergroups. Scroll all the way to the bottom and look for 'vbBux vbPlaza Permissions'. Make sure 'Can this group purchase vbPlaza Options?' is set to YES if you want that group to be allowed to purchase options. The other settings are self explanatory.

You do not have the 'Usergroup Manager' or those settings in your Usergroup settings?

If not I do not think the product installed correctly.

Now if only we had something that explained how to use these on the users end...because I'm going insane trying to figure everything out and explain it to my users....really, REALLY frustrating.

initially i thought setting the permission in the vbPlaza category / option would be enough.... then i realise i have to set the permission in all usergroups too.

I have this problem too. Do anyone know how to fix this? I'd install the product few times but it didn't work

I would install the latest. Just follow the instructions.

I installed this on 3/9. I run 3.5.4. I followed all the instructions to the letter :confused:

I had a numbering error on the steps. Which one do you not have again?

The requested URL /forums/admPRIV/vbplaza.php was not found on this server.

when I click on any of the menu options.

This is further than I got last time, last time I could even see the menus!

Reupload all of the files to ur forums root folder.

Once its complete, goto Admin CP -> Manage Products -> Edit vbBux / vbPlaza -> change its version number to v1.5.0 -> save changes.

Now reimport the product with allow overwrite set to Yes.

If it's not fixed after this, try Admin CP -> vbPlaza Maintenance -> Rebuild Bitfields.

It should be fixed after all this.

I have enabled Admin Donate for my Admins, Mods and Super Mods but when I go to the page to do it, it says I have to be an administrator to use this function....I am damn it...

silly question but you have set the correct Admin Usergroup in vbplaza?

^^^Yes, I went through the entire Admin CP and enabled everything. Although I guess it's possible to have it wrong. But I can't see where I went wrong at all, and it's the only function that isn't working.

I have checked all options, but a custom usergroup doesn't see all the options in the show ?
i seen a post in the release thread that a use would just make all users as registered user on a secondary user..

is there a way to fix without changing all users in this usergroup ?

i have a small problem with vbPlaza. Hope that me here finally someone to help can. Would like which one a forum entrance "to buy" can. Now in the ACP "user could do entrance to this Forumn to buy?" posed on "yes". And now the problem: If I with vbPlaza on "forum entrance buy" click get I the following message: "this side does not have forums, for which you need purchase rights." Where is the error to be looked for?

Manage OPTIONS now shows up as Manage ITEMS in the vbPlaza menu.
That should be edited in the sticky so people don't get confused ;)

great stuff, works well but found a problem.

when I am trying to view 'most sold', it says 'You are not allowed to view Item History.', why?

Certain options that my members purchase aren't working, like changing the font of username and being able to bold thread titles. It says ' The thread you are trying to open is in a forum where you are not allowed to bold thread titles'.

I can't figure out where I allow this? It's not in forum permissions.

There is a problem at Points per Reply, it counts wrong!

I made the same mistake. You need to upload each folder IN the "Upload" folder, not upload the entire "Upload" folder (this is confusing I realize, but reread this slowly and you'll get what I'm saying).

Hoping someone can help me out? Ive installed vbPlaza, and install went fine, I have the vbPlaza menu on the forum, but I don't have access to all of the settings in the AdminCP.

I'm getting the vbPlaza Settings under the main vb options, but no seperate menu for vbPlaza?

Any ideas? I've tried re-installing, and getting the same problem?

I had this problem. In the upload folder, make sure you rename 'admincp' to 'admPRIV', and you should be ok ;).

I've re-uploaded EACH FOLDER in the in the Uploads folder and I still get this message when trying to install the product:

'Could not find phrase 'vbplaza_functions_vbplaza_not_uploaded'.'

It's like there's a file missing from the Uploads folder or something

(BTW, that adminPRIV change doesn't do squat)
