Lilis Pizza Pizza Messenger (PopUp Messenger)

Lilis Pizza Pizza Messenger
for vBulletin 3.5.... or higher
V 1.0.0

Preamble: Lilis Pizza, Pizza Messenger is an enhancement from one of my older hacks (at-lantis SMS System). The name Pizza, Pizza has no special reasons and is fine as any other. Lili is my lovely wife (best wife ever, Ephraim Kishon would say) that took care of me whilst writing this messenger. In fact I didn't eat any pizza whilst scripting.

If you start installation, you accept the terms in the enclosed copyright.txt!

Download the zip file
Read the install_lppmessenger.html

1. Import the product-lppmessenger.xml file in ACP. (Important! Import as product not as plugin!)
Now you are almost ready.
Now upload all files that are in the upload folder. Keep the folderstructure.

2. Apply LPP messenger settings.

In ACP you can now find the additional setting LPP messenger.
There you can activate the messenger and apply additional settings.

That was all. Now you have installed an additional communication system in your forum that surely pleases your users.

Hi again :)

Any way to resolve this please....see image
Also the Time remaing to closing the popup, there is no time in the box

PcFreak 03-03-2006 02:46 PM

Sorry, unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this, however.

I have installed the messenger on a local vBulletin and some forums. Without faults.
Works perfect everywhere

Hellraider 03-03-2006 02:55 PM

@The Realist: I installed the englisch version from first post also in 2 different forums a few minutes ago. Hack runs perfect in both forums, so I also can't reproduce your mentioned behavior.

Maybe a problem with your style (pathes?)?

Try to import the hack in a clean test forum with no other hacks and styles installed and check for yourself, that the hack is running well.

I have also 2 different styles in my forums, but the hack runs well on both.

The Realist 03-03-2006 03:07 PM

Thanks guys, shame realy but I have uninstalled it for now.

The Realist 03-03-2006 03:43 PM

Ok update.

I reinstalled this hack after having a brain wave and this is what I found.

Im running VBSEO and when I deactivated it for a test all worked 100%, so........ within VBSEO admin panel there is a area called:

Exclude Pages?
Use regular expressions here to exclude scripts and/or pages from being affected by vBSEO. This prevents rewriting as well as copyright insertion.

I added lpp_messenger.php to this and now it works 100% with VBSEO activated. :)

Something for the developers to look at in getting it to work with VBSEO.

Anyway, thanks all.

Nice work.

yinyang 03-03-2006 04:52 PM

everything works great for me. *clicks installed*. however, i can't get the pager to show up under What's Going On - Who's Online.

i've checked the online.php file and user.lppstatus was added to it correctly. please help.

PcFreak 03-03-2006 05:42 PM

Don?t make the online.php change if you used color names for user groups.
This doesn't work

I have forgot that to write in the installation text.

Edit: Fix this little error and upload a new zip file

d0h! my bad. everything works great, especially on the Who's Online page.

what i meant was, is it possible to put the pager graphic and function on the What's Going On section of the forumhome page? it'd be great to then have it possible to put on the home page for those who use vbadvanced.

would this be a lot of work?

PcFreak 03-03-2006 06:24 PM

I don´t use vbadvanced.

But maybe there is a vbadvanced template for the online users.

Have a look at my lpp_messenger_wol template.
Maybe you can use this for the vbadvanced template which one show the online users. (May you must make some little customizations, too.)

I am sure that works.

Fix the zip file.
There was a conflict with one alt tag.

NuclioN 03-03-2006 09:48 PM

Looks nice :) Does this conflict with vbpager messages? :)

I don?t know.
My messenger system ist more then 1 1/2 years old.

I never had used the pager system. Maybe the autor of the pager was influenced from my at-lantis sms system. :rambo:

MissKalunji 03-04-2006 03:45 AM

does the repy includes the previous msg sent?

what's important to me is making the pager show up in the What's Going On box on the Forumhome. I copied the coding in the lpp_messenger_wol template and put it in the forumhome template in the appropriate place and nothing shows up.

any suggestions? i'd appreciate it. thanks!
