thanks dude
not tested yet. but can we choose what forum the recycle bin is?? damn hate editing the template, any way to make it all auto? /me Installs |
yes, according to the xml...you have that option once you've installed the product.
|
Works well.
My forum has a "daily thread" that gets moved into a diary forum every night ... this will save me a few annoying clicks :) |
Awesome :)
|
Love it... this should be a standard in vbulletin and there should be a default recycle bin.
How can I put an recycle bin icon on my recycle bin forum |
Nice work man. :)
|
Can i see a working demo somewhere? I have no clue how this works..
|
I'm lovin' it! Thanks man...
|
installed thanks
|
i have a question about this...is there a way to make it automatically soft delete the thread and then move it? The way I handle crap threads is to soft delete them so they don't count in the forum stats and then move them. Would deff be nice to beable to do all this with one click
|
*Clicks install* thank you very much man!! Quick question...where do I set the thread ID so I can choose where the recycle bin is?
|
it's in the vbulletin options, general settings in admin panel

yeah, took me a min to find it earlier too
|
Great saves a lot of work.
Installed Button Pressed. |
small question...how can I allow my mods to see the move to button in the thread tools?
|
I think it does that already.
By the way Andreas, is it possible to add a feature where we could move posts to the recycle bin forum too? That would be sweet! |

My mods can not see the option on the thread tools....not sure how to get them to do that. |
No, it just moves threads to the recycle bin only, not posts.
And you can edit the option to display in Mod Tools by editting the required template via the acp. ;) |
ok, I got you now, I did not read "post"....sorry...I overlooked what you had said.
as far as the mod tool part...not to sound to dumb...but I am not sure where to edit this in the admincp.... |
I am guessing that it is in the "threadadmin_movepost" template, but not sure where to set, playing with it right now to see what I can find or screw up :/
|
Very Nice.... **Clicks Install**
If you do not know what Templates to edit to get this to show up on the Moderation drop down list, there is a how to file within the .zip file that tells you what to edit. |

Yes I know...it had to do with a hack to restict supermod permissions.....I just realized after I disabled it. Thanks though :) |
I cant tell you how long I've been waiting for this hack! :)
|
Found a bug.
When a thread is moved to the recycle bin, and moved back out to the public, if there are quotes in the title, it changes it to ;quot or something like that. |
This should save us a few clicks. Installed and works flawlessly. :D
|
still no answer, it doesnt allow mods to view this..?
|
Quote:
no it does allow mods to see it. Install per instructions and then make sure that you check the box in user group to allow to manage threads ;) Thanks Andreas for the sweet hack :) |
Awesome ! very useful mod ... Thanks dude
|
I've installed this but cant find how to run it at all???
Help? |
vB Options ;)

Love it. Thanks
|
Awesome hack, thanks!
But I'm still not clear on how to get mods and supermods to see and use this feature. I've looked in the Usergroup manager, and I don't see any option for this or "Allow to manage threads" Can someone be specific as to where we need to edit this option, cause I'm not seeing it anywhere, I've looked through the vboptions section as well, still not seeing it. Thanks again! |
it is in the AdminCP, usergroup manger, Supermods, Can Manage Threads Yes...
do you have the restrict supermods permission hack installed as well? If not you may not see this option... |
ravenes,
I really appreciate you helping point out exactly what page, but that is exactly where I've been looking? Attached is a screenshot of that page with all the permissions for supermods. There is no such option? Do you have any other suggestion? The hack is working fine except that none of my mods or supermods can see it?? Thanks again! Quote:

Can Manage Threads is a moderator permission, so it won't show up in usergroup manger (unless you have Restrict Supermod Permissions installed, as already pointed out).
All your Mods that have this permission and all the supermods should see the options in Thread Tools and the Inline Moderation action dropdown. If not, you've modified the templates incorrectly. |
Yeah you're right, it's the mod that causes the problem. ;)
|
Awesome, useful and efficient addition. Thanks a lot, Andreas!
