/me Installs

dcarr 01-31-2006 01:23 AM

yes, according to the xml...you have that option once you've installed the product.

moonclamp 01-31-2006 01:27 AM

Works well.

My forum has a "daily thread" that gets moved into a diary forum every night ... this will save me a few annoying clicks :)

Daniel 01-31-2006 01:40 AM

Awesome :)

Mastar 01-31-2006 01:51 AM

Love it... this should be a standard in vbulletin and there should be a default recycle bin.

How can I put an recycle bin icon on my recycle bin forum

JsnakeJ 01-31-2006 03:05 AM

Nice work man. :)

AshokForums.com 01-31-2006 03:54 AM

Can i see a working demo somewhere? I have no clue how this works..

Snake 01-31-2006 11:19 AM

I'm lovin' it! Thanks man...

murrtex 01-31-2006 02:41 PM

installed thanks

creedmaniac 01-31-2006 04:54 PM

i have a question about this...is there a way to make it automatically soft delete the thread and then move it? The way I handle crap threads is to soft delete them so they don't count in the forum stats and then move them. Would deff be nice to beable to do all this with one click

brvheart 01-31-2006 10:53 PM

*Clicks install* thank you very much man!! Quick question...where do I set the thread ID so I can choose where the recycle bin is?

creedmaniac 01-31-2006 11:25 PM

it's in the vbulletin options, general settings in admin panel

brvheart 01-31-2006 11:41 PM

Thank you very much....sorry I missed that....here's my sign lol :o

creedmaniac 01-31-2006 11:51 PM

yeah, took me a min to find it earlier too

Derekclarke 02-01-2006 01:02 AM

Great saves a lot of work.

Installed Button Pressed.

brvheart 02-01-2006 01:37 AM

small question...how can I allow my mods to see the move to button in the thread tools?

Snake 02-01-2006 11:28 AM

I think it does that already.

By the way Andreas, is it possible to add a feature where we could move posts to the recycle bin forum too? That would be sweet!

that is what this does already...moves a post to the Recyle bin forum....

My mods can not see the option on the thread tools....not sure how to get them to do that.

Snake 02-01-2006 11:52 AM

No, it just moves threads to the recycle bin only, not posts.

And you can edit the option to display in Mod Tools by editting the required template via the acp. ;)

brvheart 02-01-2006 12:02 PM

ok, I got you now, I did not read "post"....sorry...I overlooked what you had said.

as far as the mod tool part...not to sound to dumb...but I am not sure where to edit this in the admincp....

brvheart 02-02-2006 05:35 PM

I am guessing that it is in the "threadadmin_movepost" template, but not sure where to set, playing with it right now to see what I can find or screw up :/

Mentch 02-04-2006 06:06 PM

Very Nice.... **Clicks Install**

If you do not know what Templates to edit to get this to show up on the Moderation drop down list, there is a how to file within the .zip file that tells you what to edit.

Yes I know...it had to do with a hack to restict supermod permissions.....I just realized after I disabled it. Thanks though :)

Megareus Rex 02-06-2006 05:44 PM

I cant tell you how long I've been waiting for this hack! :)

Stangsta 02-06-2006 07:28 PM

Found a bug.

When a thread is moved to the recycle bin, and moved back out to the public, if there are quotes in the title, it changes it to ;quot or something like that.

Fusion.nl 02-06-2006 11:40 PM

This should save us a few clicks. Installed and works flawlessly. :D

Smiry Kin's 02-08-2006 03:08 PM

still no answer, it doesnt allow mods to view this..?

no it does allow mods to see it. Install per instructions and then make sure that you check the box in user group to allow to manage threads ;)

Thanks Andreas for the sweet hack :)

Parham 02-08-2006 07:51 PM

Awesome ! very useful mod ... Thanks dude

Fuzzy Orange 02-09-2006 08:48 AM

Love it. Thanks

heynurse 02-14-2006 04:33 PM

Awesome hack, thanks!

But I'm still not clear on how to get mods and supermods to see and use this feature.

I've looked in the Usergroup manager, and I don't see any option for this or "Allow to manage threads" Can someone be specific as to where we need to edit this option, cause I'm not seeing it anywhere, I've looked through the vboptions section as well, still not seeing it.

Thanks again!

brvheart 02-14-2006 04:49 PM

it is in the AdminCP, usergroup manger, Supermods, Can Manage Threads Yes...

do you have the restrict supermods permission hack installed as well? If not you may not see this option...

heynurse 02-14-2006 10:05 PM

ravenes,

I really appreciate you helping point out exactly what page, but that is exactly where I've been looking?

Attached is a screenshot of that page with all the permissions for supermods. There is no such option?

Do you have any other suggestion? The hack is working fine except that none of my mods or supermods can see it??

Thanks again!

Andreas 02-14-2006 10:16 PM

Can Manage Threads is a moderator permission, so it won't show up in usergroup manger (unless you have Restrict Supermod Permissions installed, as already pointed out).

All your Mods that have this permission and all the supermods should see the options in Thread Tools and the Inline Moderation action dropdown.

If not, you've modified the templates incorrectly.

Snake 02-15-2006 12:59 PM

Yeah you're right, it's the mod that causes the problem. ;)

kira 03-05-2006 02:25 AM

Awesome, useful and efficient addition. Thanks a lot, Andreas!
