All you have to do to fix it is edit the templates aplicable to reflect the full length to the images....

bashy 01-30-2006 03:49 PM

I have this problem :(
Actually its over all my site except the MKPortal :)

Like Corriewf said all you need to do is edit the image paths.

You do this by going to admincp then:

styles & templates -> style manager -> bluepearl -> all style options -> image paths.

And change all these paths "images/Frost/buttons" to "/path-to-your-forums/images/Frost/buttons"

Sal Collaziano 01-31-2006 02:26 AM

I love this style!!

Sean James 01-31-2006 02:34 AM

thx ;)

will be releasing a new small update in the next few hours to fix the IE bug.

I will update the ZIP and give the new code, as the problem lies within the forumhome template or the postbit templates.

lolo? 01-31-2006 02:42 AM

very very nice thanks a lot install

Skelp 03-03-2006 04:45 PM

Hey Griffin, installed this and love it. I do have one problem though..... Right after I installed it everyone's signature lines disappeared. Can this be fixed and if so how?

Also, the attach files option disappeared....

Now I should mention I am running version 3.5.1..... could this maybe be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Skelp 03-03-2006 05:46 PM

OK.. so I upgraded to 3.5.4 thinking this would fix my above problems... But it didn't.. it caused an even bigger probelm..... The style won't show up at all now... I set BluePearl as the Default style and set it so users can't change the style but all I still get is the same old default style showing up....
Any help is greatly appreciated..
The site is http://www.fsfta.com
the test account is
username - filerat
password - wolf65
thanks in advance.

U still having problems? visited your site and cant see anything wrong

Sorry for the delay was away :(

Marco van Herwaarden 03-05-2006 11:59 AM

This is a really nice looking style, i have however 2 (technical) problems with it:
- There seem to be way too many edited templates. The more edited templates, the more difficult it is to incorporate a style within an existing site, and make it confirm with hack installed, custom headers/logo's, custom advertising systems, etc... Please look if you really need all these edits to make the Style look this way.
- Hard-coded image paths. See for example your header template. Not using Style-Vars.
If these 2 issues could be addressed, then it would be a lot easier to implement this.

Sean James 03-05-2006 12:05 PM

with style vars how do i go about using this? can u give me a preview of the link please ;)

Examples on how to use Style Vars are in each (defult) template.

Example in the header.

Your header Template:
HTML Code:

        <td width="61" height="165"><img width="61" height="165" border="0" src="images/bluepearl/misc/top2.jpg"></td>
In a default Style:
HTML Code:

        <td align="$stylevar[left]"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
Your template:
- Does not add a link to forumhome, or provide a tooltip text
- Uses 'src="images/bluepearl/misc/top2.jpg"' instead of 'src="$stylevar[titleimage]"'
- Is using hardcoded width (and other styling vars), instead of width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" for table width for example.
- For image-directories you should also use Style Vars like: $stylevar[imgdir_button]/myimage.gif

Thanks for that help, i will fix this up in the next update.
this will help alot for people using vba gallery and other mods and having trouble with the images not showing.
