I just got myself a working Sega Saturn and a bunch of games for $10!

Last year I picked up Madden NFL 2003 for the Gamecube at a pawn shop for $10. I got the game so I could play football while staying at my mom's house, the gamecube is mine so I can take it with me over the weekend while my brother stays here and uses the PS2.

Anyway my friend just got himself a Gamecube, and he really likes football. About an hour ago he calls me and offers his Saturn with all the goodies in exchange for Madden NFL 2003. How could I say no to that!? :D

good old platforms are always fun, because games are less complicated...

we have an old N-64 and a SuperNintendo for the kids (all Mario games in it!), even if my own computer is a 5Ghz with 8Gigs of RAM... they don't play with it...

anyway, when you'Re young, you can not pay 60$ for each game you want to play... so exchanges and sharing is always best... :)

I agree, there's nowt like a cheap second hand game or an exchange. I get most of mine pre-owned and so save loads. But I always get my console brand new. (I had a bad experience with an atari 2600 and I'll never forget it)

When it comes to games I like to get them new, I have bad luck with used games (they always mess up on me).

I don't mine jumping on this because it was a good deal, and I need a Saturn as my old one died long ago. Now I'm stuck tracking down old games and the cart to allow me to play imports.

While I got this because it's a 2D powerhouse there are some 3D games I have my eye on. I already got a Neo-Geo so I'm covered on the 2D end mostly, I just wish the games were cheaper! :(

Now to track down a copy of Mortal Kombat 2..:)

What's wrong with Echo the Dolphin? I used to play that game all the time on the original megadrive

Echo the Dolphin, lol. I remember that game...good times...Although I just jumped in and out of the water because it was fun. I never completed any of the game...

I'm pretty sure that's what everone did once they realized that it was the only thing in the game that was actually fun.

Was there ever an actual ending? I remember plaything the game... but could never remember if there was a way to beat it after a certain part.

As long as they work. I've got two atari 2600's and one was always tempermental and the other suddenly gave up the ghost one day. It's gutting coz I've got a bin liner full of games that I can't play coz the consoles don't work and sometimes I just really get nostalgic.
